i have to say, i almost needed to change my underwear when tate didn't get up for a couple seconds there
I dont know about all of you but I predict we take the big ten this year.

Looks like Woolfolk will wear #2 this year. Nice. He deserves it.
Watch to the very end for a vintage run by #16.
March 29th, 2010 at 11:13 AM ^
was rocking the deuce?
March 29th, 2010 at 11:51 AM ^
Only Warren had earned it before last year, and I presume he didn't want to change from the number he'd had as a freshman starter.
Woolfolk is definitely wearing #2 in the video.
March 29th, 2010 at 12:05 PM ^
#2 is definitely Turner.
March 29th, 2010 at 12:20 PM ^
I took the voiceover introducing Woolfolk as they showed #2 in action to mean they were showing us Woolfolk, but I see now in the interview with him you can't actually see his number. I thought you could, thus my use of "definitely."
Still, I have to ask -- on what basis do you say that is "definitely" Turner?
March 29th, 2010 at 12:23 PM ^
It could be the big 2 next to his name in his bio.
March 29th, 2010 at 12:51 PM ^
Surely they haven't updated it, and won't until this Summer/Fall. If they gave Woolfolk #2 because he is a senior leader on this year's team, it won't be official until then.
Neg me all you want, but if that's all you've got, I still say Troy Woolfolk is wearing #2 in that video.
I'll take the people who edited that video over some old web page.
March 29th, 2010 at 12:52 PM ^
Except in every other video and all other info I've ever seen, Turner is #2. I'll stick a pineapple up my bum if Turner isn't #2.
March 29th, 2010 at 12:54 PM ^
if it's something out of the ordinary.
Wh... what? That's not... common?
From your signature it sounds like you're familiar with farm life. I don't know what passes for common on a farm, so maybe it is in that context. It's all about the context then I guess.
This far to the right . .. . . . . . .
March 29th, 2010 at 10:09 PM ^
This is nothing compared to what went down last summer.
Not to mention that wasn't even Woolfolk they were interviewing after they said his name, it was JT Floyd, AND in the next scene with the DB's you can clearly see a #29.
looking more closely at that clip, it really doesn't look like Woolfolk. So I'll concede and take my lumps.
In that case, you can keep your specialized Mgoblog man card. Well done, grab yourself a beer.
It's updated for spring
Are you fucking retarded?
and say "a ritard" (pronounced rih-TARD')
Honestly, I took it from skin tone. Turner is much darker than Woolfolk.
What did Warren do to earn the #2 if they were using it like the #1. Then to follow that up with Woolfolk deserves it..What?
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but did you ever see Woodson play? If you think Warren and or Woolfolk should wear the #2 based on performance you're insane or have just gone crazy waiting for football season to begin.
Was number 6.
Edit: negged? Really? Dude (ritard) above stated that Warren "earned" the number one (or two, I can't tell) jersey (last year), I correct him and get negged. Sweet.

lol, that was maybe the most boring interview I've ever heard
March 29th, 2010 at 11:21 AM ^
Two things
1) Gardner's throwing motion looks bad to me. I just doesn't seem like he has much on the ball either.
2) Big Will looked good. He made a couple of plays running down the line and getting to the ball on outside runs. I liked seeing that.
March 29th, 2010 at 11:48 AM ^
I thought Gardner looked just fine. His release may need some work but I saw him complete a few passes and the ball seemed to have pretty good zip on it. Remember, he's essentially a HS kid, and this video is from his 2nd week of collegiate practice. Really, what did you expect?
several of his passes seemed to be underthrown or at least require the WR to do something other than catch it in stride while running. So I guess I was expecting him to look better than what he did. It's one thing to make poor reads in an offense you don't know, but it's another if your passes don't look pretty.
I think you need to lower your expectations for Gardner a little bit.

Your link jumps to the middle and skips the first three minutes, at least for me. Try removing the last bit of syntax [&goto=170], so it reads as follows:

Thanks.

Or just watch it on youtube:

Great to see Campbell making some plays in that video. I know the video was focused more on the defense, but it was nice to see the secondary make a few plays. Cam Gordon looked quick.
I wish the best for Obi this year. He sounds like an intelligent young man. I'd love to see him go out with a "Stevie Brown" type of senior year turnaround.
March 29th, 2010 at 11:52 AM ^
#17, who I believe is Jeremy Jackson, makes a nice catch in the beginning.
March 29th, 2010 at 12:01 PM ^
I think his football smarts are going to turn him into more of a contributer than his raw athletic numbers (40 time, etc.) would suggest.
March 29th, 2010 at 12:00 PM ^
Loves to hit. When you consider he's holding up a little big because it's practice... holy crap. He's going to break some bones this season!
Also, play of the week should've been Tate's tight corner TD pass at the start of that video. BEAUTIFUL corner jump TD. Perfect.
March 29th, 2010 at 12:08 PM ^
I'm really excited to see Cam play this year. I just get the feeling he will contribute for us this year in some way.
Awesome pass by Tate. Looks like him and Denard are still running around with the ball wide open in one hand. Defense looks quicker so far.
Can't wait for the spring game.
Cam looks very big in those clips, and he's listed at 208. I agree; he will be punishing some kids (assuming he can make all the right reads).
March 29th, 2010 at 12:06 PM ^
thank you sir
March 29th, 2010 at 12:17 PM ^
is ENTIRELY correct.
March 29th, 2010 at 12:13 PM ^
Like others mentioned, Big Will was making some nice plays.
It would have been nice to see footage of Fitz running the ball, as every run play was either Shaw or Cox.
The defense was flying around in a lot of those clips.
Thanks for posting.
This clip was devoted to showing the defense. Maybe they didn't show Fitz because he has been entirely unstoppable?
My observations from the video
-Big Will is in great shape. Huge props to Barwis.
-Denard will scare the shit out of opposing defenses at QB next year.
-Devin is still coming up short on his passes. Unless this is fixed, I imagine he is a mortal lock to redshirt.
It seems that they are building the offense in the same fashion as the defense: Have a variety of different schemes/options, so you will never encounter matchup problems.
Needless to say, I am excited about this team next year.
It seems "mortal lock" isn't the lock it used to be.
Not to contradict you, but if it was cox and show....who was rocking #23 on one of the runs? cox = #15 shaw = #20, and brown last years #23 has moved on......
#23 would be austin white
So it was more then just a Cox and Shaw show. :)
Austin White.

Hope that Fumble by tate at the goal line isn't a sign of things to come again this year. If one thing is gonna drive me nuts its gonna be us turning the ball over 3+ times every single game just about.
The D looked a lot quicker in some of the clips, but still tough to tell a lot of things.
Just from the video.... 3 things stood out to me:
1) Denard has progressed,
2) Tate did not look very good, and
3) Devin is thinking instead of reacting right now.
All of that said, it is just a video. I am sure that there is a lot more going on with these guys than what was shown. My gut tells me that Tate will be just fine and that he has probably progressed as well. It is just that he didn't look very good on that film.
Denard, however, is the one that is going to surprise some people this year. Not just going off that film but from other reports that I have read, Denard has not only taken a step forward..... but a couple of steps forward as a quarterback.
He is sure of himself, sure of what he is doing in the offense, and is throwing the ball with both zip and accuracy. That is great to see because the kid has worked his tail off.
As someone else mentioned, this video seems to focus on the defense, so it's not too surprising that we see more of the good defensive plays, which makes the offense seem not as good.
I agree though, Denard looks sharp. His passes look like rockets, and he seems a little less jumpy back there. Should be interesting to see how everyone looks in the spring game!
