Haven't seen much about this. Nothing on ISU's website about Roundtree, but here's the release about Mallory.
Best of luck to both at the D1 FCS level, Missouri Valley Football Conference.

Best of luck to the man! Roy will be forever cemented in my memory for his game winning TD catch in UTL 1.

..... touchdown.
The ND radio was amazing

Also a superb QB Oh Noes artist. And the secondary subject of the wizard hat snake oil comment. Can we have another slot receiver who's as effective as Roy, please?

Haven't gone to many of their games, but it's time to check them out. With two Michigan men on board, the future is bright in Terre Haute!

I'm in Sullivan, where you be?
February 6th, 2017 at 10:47 PM ^
some funny stories in the back about Roy. congrats to him, but I can't get over them! nothing nefarious btw...
February 6th, 2017 at 11:33 PM ^
It's illegal in 39 states to leave people hanging like that.

Stories or you are a big fat phony.

#treezy for a reason

The end zone catch vs ND...and the recruit who was "snake oiled"
February 6th, 2017 at 11:02 PM ^
Forgot he was snake oiled until you posted this, but won't ever forget him drawing first blood 14 seconds into that 2010 Illinois shootout.
Illinois sold out to stop Denard from running and Roundtree easily took it to the house.

It was the time I took my son to a real game. That play happened just as we started down the steps to our seats. Still can't get over just how bad our defense was back then.

snatched right out of the Walrus' tusks.
February 7th, 2017 at 11:17 AM ^
That game was great. Rountree, Odoms, Gallon and Hemmingway were such a good group of receivers. Hopefully this new group and last years haul can be as exciting as those guys used to be. Of course Denard helped that cause. Better coaching now though overall on that side of the ball and a great defense is going to make these years amazing on my Saturday mornings. I need to get a new recliner soon.

...moment was the .gif of him and Shoelace dancing at an M hoops game.

Good luck Roy!

At 2:00, Hoke put on a headset!!!
It happened, people!
February 6th, 2017 at 11:13 PM ^
Very cool. Excited for Roy...I think he's going to come up the pipeline quickly with his Michigan contacts.

Indiana State grad living in NC. I need to make a trip back for a game!
February 7th, 2017 at 1:09 AM ^
..probably in the nicest 5 people I've ever met and I've hung out with him a few times. He's always smiling and just giving off great vibes.
This is huge for him and hope all the best for him and Mallory!

That's true Shawn. One time I met his cousin & thought it was Tree for a minute, he was a Roy-alike & just as nice.
February 7th, 2017 at 1:47 AM ^
Wonder how Mallory got him to join his staff there?
He must be some kind of snake oil salesman.
February 7th, 2017 at 6:17 AM ^
Had the pleasure of meeting him at that MGoBlog pre-game event for Marlin's charity at UTL3 in '14.
I thought I might run across a player or two at the event so I brought my UTL 1 ticket stub for someone to sign. Needless to say I was ecstastic to get it signed by Roy FREAKING Roundtree!!!!
I had Michaels dismantle my framed Big House panoramic print from UTL1 and had them place the ticket under the glass alongside, then re-assemble. Prized conversation piece in my office for sure.
Good luck Roy!

Roy is a cerebral guy with an infectious attitude; I think this is a great hire.
February 7th, 2017 at 9:29 AM ^
Other than snake oil, was him getting caught from behind at the 1 at Illinois. Michigan went four straight downs without converting.... Then lost the game..... Then the season....... :(
February 7th, 2017 at 9:45 AM ^
(Aside from Denard obviously) I just remember the countless times the receivers, especially Roy, were wide fucking open.
February 7th, 2017 at 9:47 AM ^
One of my favorite memories was after his huge game against Illinois. They asked what he thought when he woke up that morning and with a big smile he says "I'm Huungry!"
The press room busted out laughing.
February 7th, 2017 at 10:00 AM ^
it's the chance for moment's like these that I'm glad the rivalry is back on.
I wish it were an "every other year" series, but oh well.
February 7th, 2017 at 10:23 AM ^
Good for him. I hope he has a ton of success in his coaching career and it's nice to see that he is being helped by his program connections.
February 7th, 2017 at 10:44 AM ^
I saw his tweets last night about being thankful for his time at Limestone, but I couldn't figure out what his next step was. Thanks for the new information. Good luck, Roy!

Brady Hoke Coaching Tree has grown 2 branches.
February 7th, 2017 at 9:13 PM ^
he's also a branch of some much more fruitful trees: those of Bo Schembechler, Gary Moeller, and (first but certainly not least) his dad, Bill Mallory.

Good for Treezy!! One of my favorite players to root for. I'll bet he is fun as hell to play for.
