This podcast is presented by UGP & Moe's and their latest venture, the Bo Store, and frankly would not be happening without them; Rishi and Ryan and their people have been huge MGoBlog supporters from the start.

Our other sponsors are also key in the expanding empire: thanks to Homesure Lending, Ann Arbor Elder Law, the Residence Inn Ann Arbor Downtown, who graciously gave us their Michigan Room to record this episode, the University of Michigan Alumni Association, Deo Bookkeeping, Michigan Law Grad, Defensive Drivers Group, and Peak Wealth Management.

Free Teske: He's a little bit of a lost puppy but he's big and solves a big problem with two point defense. Wilson is fun. Irvin and Walton taking on more of the offense. Indiana, MSU and Ohio State games loom large for any chance at the tournament.

Inside the Crooked Blue Line with Steve Lorenz

We run through Michigan’s remaining targets, including a Massachusetts athlete outta nowhere whose name Don Brown has known for a long time, and Ace can barely pronounce. Is the class heading for a disappointing finish or can Michigan send in…The Closer?

Hockey

After the most depressing Michigan-FYS weekend in history it’s macro time: it’s gotta be over now, or else the masses aren’t renewing their tickets.

I love Harbaugh too but that picture is bullshit. He's just a football coach. He'd even tell you that as a fellow Catholic. Too far.

I guess.  I generally think the Catholic Church has lost a good deal of its protection after, well, most of its history.  You gotta be able to laugh a little bit at yourself, but I can see how others would have differing opinions.

Is it just me or is there a problem with the iTunes podcast feed?  I can't pull down anything using either my iPhone or my iPad.

I tried to unsubscribe and resubscribe, but now I get an error that says "Unable to Subscribe; The provided link is not a valid Podcast."

I manually downloaded the episode and am listening to it now. I notice It is dated 12/31/2000. I'm guessing the issue is that the new episodes are dated in the past. All of our settings are probably to download new episodes, so an episode from 2000 wouldn't register. Hope the Mgo engineers can fix the issue.

Yeah, we know.  Is it something Brian still wants to do.  Is the person who was selected from the volunteers out of that front page post still working on it?  Does Brian need someone new to work on it?  Do you guys want us to turn on the money cannon to help fund an update?

Or does Brian just not care what we think and how slow and outdated the website is?

I've gotta be honest.  I used to hit the beveled guilt button once or twice a year.  I haven't done it in over a year because it seems like the users are pretty much ignored on stuff like this and the mobile aps.  Just a little explanation would probably solve 90% of the complaining about it, even if the explanation was that nothing is happening.

It's probably a good idea to take it down.

There's something to be said for defending the rights of noise-makers who want to stir hornet's nests, but MGoBlog isn't in the shock jock business.  WD has a point; at best it's just a funny picture that's remembered for a day.  Personally, I can view it that way as well.  But at worst, even if you don't care about how others feel, any public exposure has the possibility of putting MGoBlog on Harbaugh's bad side for no reason whatsoever, and that's something to avoid at the cost of a few guffaws.

Unfortunately that's not for us to decide on our own, and I don't think anyone here has his cell number AND enough of his good side to ask him about it directly.  I'm sure Harbaugh has *A* sense of humor, but even if Harbaugh himself is 100% OK with it, he represents the University of Michigan as a public figure and may decide he's obligated to treat it as inappropriate in the off chance the Regents and/or the Catholic Church aren't amused.  This is what life is like for people in positions of responsibility.

I'd defend MGoBlog's legal right to Photoshop Harbaugh in whatever costume they want, any day, but I don't think they're afraid of reprisal here.  They just respect the lad and aren't out to cause any trouble.  Since the first Harbaugh would hear of it would be if it goes viral, by the time we find out if he's OK with it, it's too late to prevent any negative effects.

I have my doubts anyone would really care either way.  I mean, Fandle Candles have been putting out stuff like this for a long time and I've not seen any major issues.

Again, if the Regents or the Catholic Church take anyone to task about a photoshopped image on a blog, then so be it.

I am fine with them changing, but I just think it's weird that this place will post a bunch of pictures of Kate Upton bouncing around in a bikini that that barely covers her and we have whole threads documenting the statistical frequency of the words "shit", "fuck", "motherfucker", etc. by the posters, and yet a picture of Jim Harbaugh's head superimposed over a bishop's body is a bridge too far.  But whatever.

I mean, I unerstand what you're saying, but even being the raging liberal I am I don't think having a picture of Harbaugh dressed as the pope (along a story about going to Rome) even comes remotely close to shock jock material, and barely rises to PG level offensiveness, and I'm quite sure Harbaugh would understand that too.
