I'm cheering for ohio state I think they have the best chance out of the Big 10 teams to win the tourney. I hope msu gets ran out of the building, but I wish they would be healthy so there won't be any excuses. I think Duke will beat Purdue, I did not think Purdue would make it this far without Hummel.
Are you old enough to remember when OSU won the Championship in football?
Trust me...we don't want that.
I think they have the best chance to win. I guess I should not have said "cheering" for them, because I could really not care less if they win. With the injuries to Purdue and msu I don't think they have a chance in going much deeper.
But why would you WANT another Big Ten team to win...? (Particularly if they have STATE in their name). Trust me...it's not fun. Early 2000s were not all that cool.
But, I like your avatar a lot.
I will never cheer for OSU to win a national title in any sport that has other Big Ten teams still in the running... any other B10 is preferable to them.
NEVER root for that school down South.
NEVER...
Ugh. I can't root for either team without needing a shower afterward.
How the hell is Stacey Dash pushing 45 and still looking like that (in that commercial)?!?
Not OT: besides being on during the Tourney, she's dating Rich Rod's peep, Jamie Fox.
Edit: Evidence
That was born in 1966...
More evidence, but of the NSFW variety...I never knew, after Clueless...

She's got a reall fat, juicy, ass that I would love to have sitting on my face. No lie

...at the other pictures, didn't you? ;-)
Man this sucks.
Baylor and OSU are both winning. Angry-Tournament-Bracket-Betting-God is really hating on me right now.
With Kansas bombing, I'm actually better off with Tennessee winning, even though I had picked the Buckeyes to the 8, because it will keep them out of the Final Four.
And St. Mary's, after completely fucking my bracket, is now rolling over. HEY NOVA...that's how you defend a college center!!
Leave it to N. Iowa to lay an egg tonight too. These small teams smash brackets, than don't even show up long enough to balance them out by creating more chaos.
Everyone forgets...GREAT first couple of rounds, usually means pretty shitty middle rounds.
Yeah everyone's brackets are blown up and now all these "Cinderellas" are laying eggs.
It's all good I just had some Buffalo Wild Wings on the line and Baylor/OSU winning pretty much end my bid at a free meal. Ah well maybe next year...
Brian reporting, without much hope, that Manny to decide his future on Monday.
Is barely outscoring their center's output last game. Way to show up.
How bad of defense does Villanova play?
"Sing Rocky Top all night long"
That's going too far. This is Tennessee we're talking about.
Pearlie Bruce FTW. This is Ohio State we're talking about. Any foe of OSU is a friend of mine.
The Enemy of my Enemy...

While I don't disagree that OSU may be the greater of the two evils, any support for the school that rolled over for Nebraska in '97 (and whose coach probably voted us 4th) should be followed up with a quick shower.

Relax. If the Canada Tech Community College beat OSU at Chess I would love it. The buckeyes lost a game. BE HAPPY. It's your duty.
March 26th, 2010 at 10:21 PM ^
Yeah, even without all the Brady rivalry, his "no-show" still pisses me off...
Bye bye Buckeyes
OHIO STATE SUCK IT!!!!
Flipped over to CBS just in time to watch OSU fail to score in the final 12 seconds. I love it!
...1 to go
Hoping the Fighting Farokhmanesh's get the win! Go Northern Iowa!
Watching him toss Buckeyes around like little girls made my night.
Just wondering...
He looks 17...
I could see this Northern Iowa game going down to the wire.
N. Iowa could feel their collars tighten under the spotlight. And MSU is here every year, and already played 2 nailbiters. Heck, N. Iowa should already be up a half dozen, and aren't. Clutch FT shooters missing 2...there are some nerves.
March 26th, 2010 at 10:16 PM ^
Perhaps, but MSU is also playing without its floor leader.
March 26th, 2010 at 10:25 PM ^
...is playing with four white guys. ;-)
And before I hear "Kansas", Cinderella 0-3 so far this round.
But man, I love how these 2 teams play defense.
March 26th, 2010 at 10:34 PM ^
You're really throwing out the Kansas game?
I was thinking the exact same thing you were during that game and UNI hit big shot after big shot with collars tightened.
March 26th, 2010 at 10:38 PM ^
Farokhmanesh is collarless.
March 26th, 2010 at 10:44 PM ^
...of both of our primary rivals being upset made me so excited that I dbl posted...
March 26th, 2010 at 10:52 PM ^
Don't jinx it...
At least you didn't mention Duke...
March 26th, 2010 at 11:03 PM ^
No one expected them to win. When you're still tight late in the game with the #1 team, you're playing with house money.
Now they've spent a week having their dicks sucked off (figuratively and literally), and they're playing an Izzo coached team a lot have discounted because their missing (probably) their best player. MSU was supposed to be losing to Kansas here anyway. The gains and loses have equalized some.
Same situations- St. Mary's. Cornell. Washington. These runs are usually good for a minor (if even truly) first round upset, followed by a BIG upset, then coming back to earth after a week of pats on the back, and the other team having a week to get ready, and taking them seriously.
Let's hope N.Iowa can buck the trend.
March 26th, 2010 at 10:42 PM ^
...what's with the Duke "Tron" jerseys?
And while Duke underwhelming doesn't surprise, where has this Purdue team best-player-less come from in this Tourney? They looked miserable when he went down...
March 26th, 2010 at 10:47 PM ^
Nice play Barlow!
It's okay to root for Purdue, right?
If it weren't for injuries (Lucas, Hummel, and maybe Turner) I think it would be pretty clear, at this point, that the Big11Ten was the best conference this year. I would've been okay with having OSU and MSU in the elite 8 if Purdue also made it.
March 26th, 2010 at 10:54 PM ^
They're playing Duke...
March 26th, 2010 at 10:49 PM ^
If Michigan State loses this game, could it be arguably similar to "the horror" for them?
March 26th, 2010 at 10:58 PM ^
Nah.. unfortunately we chose App St. as a Baby Seal U. it wasn't a team that knocked off the #1 seed to get to this point. I don't really remember who George Mason beat. Also, other reasons... really needed to bring that up right now?
March 26th, 2010 at 11:01 PM ^
I think there are more similarities than you think. This is a mid major we are talking about here. A team filled with 2 star players.
March 26th, 2010 at 11:06 PM ^
That had a pretty high RPI ranking all year long.
Now, if you want to say they were the Horror for Kansas...Well, yeah.
March 26th, 2010 at 11:10 PM ^
App. State probably would have been ranked in 2007.......
March 26th, 2010 at 11:17 PM ^
Appy's Sagrin rating was in the high forties or fifties that year. Certainly better than the likes of Toledo, or even some other teams we played that year. Better than a lot of Div.-1 teams. But N. Iowa got up to 17 in the RPI at one point of the season.
But the main point, the mindset and the teams are in different places right now.
Don't get me wrong. It SHOULD be embarrassing. But I'm guessing it won't be for most, and gets hardly any note.
Even if it does happen, which is looking less and less likely.
March 26th, 2010 at 11:00 PM ^
They've spent all week building up how the injury doesn't give them a chance, they're an underdog in their minds. And MSU wasn't Top 5 going into it.
Same year as The Horror, MSU lost to a D-2 squad in an exhibition B-Ball game. THAT was like it. But it didn't really stick.
This would hardly be their worst Tourney loss. They've been bounced in the 1st round a few times.
March 26th, 2010 at 10:54 PM ^
I wish Lundquist would stop calling threes "jumpers." I associate "jumper" with a shot inside the arc.
