I'm trying to envision him leaping over those IU defenders in the endzone or juking that ND D-lineman out of his jockstrap for that 4th down TD using his brontosaurus-like quickness and agility. Mallett, the one that got away...

I was referring to how after sitting through football season watching Mallett play well, watching a player like Udoh who could have helped out our basketball team also was not fun.

My original point was that I find it ridiculous that the OP was suggesting that Michigan would have been better off with Mallett last year. I'm not saying that Mallett wouldn't have been successful, but I am saying that there is nothing substantial to suggest that he would have, other than him being an upperclassman. I don't know about you all, but I thought our '09 football team was fun to watch. Sure, the losses sucked, but it was exciting to see where a glimpse of what we'll be like in years to come.

If it's any consolation, if Udoh had stayed he might possibly have gone pro a year ago. He was making major strides his sophomore year here and was on the verge of a breakout.
