Caris LeVert has career night including 19pts

Submitted by Maize in Cincy on

Caris LeVert played a career high 27 mins tonight against the Cavs.  He was playing a lot of point and was guarding either Kyrie or Lebron most of the night.  He had a career high in points and assists (19 and 5) along with 4 boards.  Cavs won 116-108.  Here's to hoping he stays healthy the rest of the season.  Najee finished the game with a DNP.

Watched whole game and Caris looked good. Tied Lebron up immediate once he entered game for a jump ball (that didn't go well) and after a slow start (missed a couple of 3's badly) he settled down and started taking the ball to the hole. Hit a couple of LONG 3's and was definitely the Nets "go to guy" as the closed a 20 point Cav lead down to 6. Had a good look at another 3 that would made it a one possession game but it rimmed out and the Cavs took control from there.

Very aggressive at driving to the rim and a better long range shot than I remember. Held his own on D (needs to eat a sandwich-VERY overmatched size-wise) and passed ok.

Nice game for him.

I think it's pretty simple for Caris. Stay healthy and he should have a long career in the NBA. Legit 6'6" with a great stroke. At the very least he can be a 3 and D guy.

get to watch the NBA much, I always got a Jamal Crawford vibe from him in college, lengthy with smooth handles and a good shooter mid to long. Who's he compare to when seeing him in the NBA now, still Crawford?

Levert had a +10 differential even though the Nets lost by 8. In other words, he's making a positive difference off the bench which bodes well for his future.

It's a damn shame he couldn't stay healthy for a full season in 2015 and 2016. With someone of LeVert's ability, this year's team is a legit top 15 team.

were to hard on him through his injuries. He was the unkown out of that recruiting group originally. Had my cousin get the freshmen to sign a ball when he was on the staff, gr3, stauskus, mcgary, albrect, and LaVert. LaVert was a late grab, I think he was heading to Ohio(bobcats). He did very well considering what his expectations were, minimal, out of that class.

Caris suffered some bad breaks here (no pun intended) & seems like such a good guy - he deserves some good to come his way.  I hope he continues this trend and sees great success in the NBA & the rest of his life.
