Exit Jabrill Peppers, Per Report Comment Count

We don't usually put "per report" in these titles but this is on the borderline between solid and, uh, not solid. So take it in that spirit. Per Darren Heitner, citing agent sources:

While sources have indicated that Peppers and Butt are definitely signing with Sexton and Collins, only a few days ago Peppers stated that he was undecided as to whether he would be leaving Michigan.

"I still don't know what I'm going to do yet," he said. "I've got some decisions to make."

That's a hell of a hedge with your final two sentences in an article headlined "Jabrill Peppers going pro," but Sam Webb retweeted it so good enough for me. Jabrill Peppers off to the first round of the draft, where he will create one more burst of "LOL OVERRATED I CAN'T SPELL BANANNANA" tweets before embarking on a long and excellent NFL career.

Update:

So that's why I put report in the title. Probably a distinction without a difference.

UPDATE UPDATE:

That Jabrill is going pro.

Make that report false, and I'm a happy camper!  I have wondered--based on things Jabrill himself has recently said--whether this might be a harder decision than most people are making it out to be.

I hope Jabrill does whatever he decides is in his own best interest--but selfishly, I hope that best interest includes returning to don the winged helmet and win the Heisman!

Good for you, Jabrill.

Just come back at some point and get your degree if you haven't already gotten one.

You were an awesome addition, and a huge pleasure to watch.

Thank you!

in the blink of an eye.  I don't even count his freshman year since he was basically out the entire time.  I'm happy he can now provide for his mother, I'm happy he recieved a majority of his coaching from Harbaugh & staff, I'm happy that he has the chance to make top money.

That's the point of college to help you get your dream job, and right now he has the opportunity to get his dream job.  Best of luck Jabrill!

The state of Michigan's problem with spelling "gray" can be explained by the fact that we have too many Canadians in our midst spelling it the bad Canadian way ("grey").  Not sure what Ohio's excuse is for "banana".

Anyway, best of luck to Jabrill.

Go get that money! I can't blame him at all for leaving because the guy is a stud and a game changer. He plays in the FSU game and we win easily. A toast to top players who love Michigan so much that they come here no matter who is the coach. Thanks Peppers.

It felt like one of those situations Friday where if he had to been forced to make a decision after the game he would've made the highly emotional choice to come back, but taking the time to think about it he elected to go pro, which honestly makes a lot of sense for him.

I look forward to watching him on Sundays.

This shouldn't be much of a surprise to anyone, though, after Jabrill missing the Orange Bowl and his reaction to it, I held a sliver of hope he'd return for another year.

I don't blame him for his decision at all. He was extremely fun to watch and will continue to be on Sunday's going forward!

in the future.  We want players come here for 3 years and then hit up the draft.  This means we are having top players blow up and going to the draft, which means more top recruits are going to want to come and play here, its a wonderful cycle.

If you do not believe this is good/true just look OSU's recruiting, that's what we want.

This post is not up to the standard of MGoBlog.  If i wanted to get news from twitter noobs I would go on twitter.  I expect a better filter of what is "news" on this site than what is shown here.

Despite the undoubtedly impeccable qualifications of "random Forbes guy," I choose to believe the word of Jabrill Peppers himself as to what Jabrill Peppers has decided to do.  Instead of the "UPDATE UPDATE" to this post, I think the better course is to take the post down.  Whatever the likelihood that Peppers will ultimately decide to go pro, it seems like we can wait for, you know, Peppers to actually make that decision.
