Tebow has a very genuine and disarming way about him. There's an innocence and kindness within him that will make him the perfect voice for an animated character. Of course this will only be after he decides to stop being the most interesting man in the world.

But you can force Pluralism down "religious" people's throats and it's ok? If this story is true then I would have to agree that it was perhaps out of line for Tebow to do given the context, but let's not pretend there is some vacuum we can exist in that is free from having faith in some sort of a belief system.

those who need to preach all the time are phony. A lady I use to work with went to church 3 times a week and was always preaching to others while at work, but she treated people like sh*t. Live by the "golden rule" and treat others how you would want to be treated and you can't go wrong. Instead of saying STFU, maybe he should have said, "We'll let you preach if you come get laid with us after the combine."

First of all, as a Christian myself, I don't think you should judge all of us based on one person. The problem is that too many people out there believe that Christians think we are above everyone else. However, a true christian knows that we are no better than anyone else. I do not force my religion on others. However, I don't apologize for it either. I don't pretend to live a perfect life. I make my fair share of mistakes. If someone is curious about my faith I will share it with them, but I will not shove it in their face. I think Tebow went about this the wrong way. He should have silently prayed and not asked everyone in the room to bow their heads. In my opinion though, the unnamed player went about this the wrong way too. There are better ways of voicing your displeasure than simply saying STFU.

Thank you. And I don't know if Tebow himself really sees himself as better than others or exults in how the media portays him. I think that 90% of the Tebow-hate is due to the media fawning over him but it's not entirely his fault that the MSM is all over him. Just leave Timmy alone!

I think Tebow is entitled to worship in whatever way he feels is appropriate, but at the same time he does strike me as the type of guy who would try to recruit everyone around him to buy into whatever he is saying. That might work in the confines of a college team playing a game in which you are a captain, but pushing for a group prayer amongst (mostly) strangers probably isn't going to go over as well. Probably didn't need to be told the STFU, but I also doubt that Tebow really cares. Kind of a non-story, except that it is always nice to hear about people yelling at Tebow.

I still fail to see why so many people hate Tebow, yet every little story involving him gets posted on this board. You're contributing to the overexposure that you hate.

Tim Tebow! when i played ball in college my coaches brought me into their office privately to address concerns from teammates about being percieved as a religous zealot. Lee University where i attended was a spirit filled Christian university non the less! Changing my mind set took time. in that time i grew and matured understanding that Jesus did not force himself on people, they followed Him! I believe that Tim Tebow will listen to the voice of reason and if he is strong in Christ he will not be offended. When Tebow learns to Love to a greater degree people will follow him, on and off the field. I believe he will learn a valuable lesson to Love and not force Jesus! i read through some of the comments. the link provided by chitown wolverine was helpful as my public school server blocked the first link. in reading the article and the ensuing comments i was irritated. then i started to reply, having since revised my words several times thinking and rethinking my words carefully. for although i do not appologize for being a Christian i realize God does not need me to fight his war, He had Jesus do that and that war was won! i come on here and anticipate each day the news that i can get about our team and read with an open mind. it does hurt a little when i see GD of JC being used in vain. however, it is not my job to condemn human beings for their actions. we will all be JUDGED by our fruit we bear! i do not want to condemn lest i be condemned. i suspect that all the emotions flooding all the young men's minds that are going through the predraft ringamorole that judgment is clouded at times. but---speaking about football how are excited are we for the spring game (well by RR's news conference it will be less of a game and more of ?? because of depth issues)? I am STOKED for my first spring game!!! GO MAIZE, GO BLUE, ALL IN FOR THE WOLVERINES!!!!!!!

Not exactly sourced well, was it? I probably shouldn't expect much from that site. Anyway, I think that was a remarkably arrogant act if true. He's probably too young to consider that possibility.

Tebow should probably try and emulate someone like Reggie White. The Kirk Cameron comparisons are pretty spot-on. White's teammates all claim that he was a great guy. He'd chide them about cursing, but it came off as "be a better person" rather than "you're going to hell." Cameron comes off as a huckster. He might as well be telling you that he's got the secret to real estate investing and for $24.99, he'll share the secret!

i almost pity tebow. he's like the weird kid who was homeschooled and sheltered his entire life. but now, he actually has to deal with other people and is completely clueless about social norms. he's going to get so many swirlies and wedgies in nfl locker rooms. he's the Martin Prince to the nfl's Simpsons. but then i remember what a douchebag he is.
