Rutgers fans apparently didn't know Drew Singleton was a Michigan lean
So in another installment of the LOL RUTGERS series, I had a bunch of friends from NJ text me these priceless reactions. I found a few on my own at these places:

SINGLETON TOO?!?! ARE YOU SRS?!??
Yet another reason to hate Harbaugh.
This is Partridge's doing, I just know it.
Partridge is the worst fucking person in the world. He needs to eat a dick asap. I would offer mine but no thanks it ain't even worth it
What the fuck is wrong with Ash?? Singleton was a MUST GET
No chance to get better as a program if this keeps happening
Were we even on Singleton's radar?
(Reply) He listed us in his top ten.
(Reply) And you believed that?
Ash needs to start getting these NJ recruits or we are seriously fucked
It just makes no sense why a Jersey kid like DS would ever want to go to Michigan, what's so special about them? Harbaugh? FUCKK THAT GUY
Fuck Partridge
Why are we even talking about this??? Singleton committed to Mich with a torn acl, if anything we dodged a bullet!
Oh wow a Paramus kid went to Michigan? Never heard that before...
Guess Ash's friendship with Urban Meyer is really working out, isn't it
Weird. I wouldn't have picked Singleton to go to Michigan. They're already loaded at that position.
Someone needs to explain to me how this KEEPS HAPPENING
Hard to keep a major recruit in state when we lose 78-0
Chris Ash is the future! I guess Drew Singleton wants to have a life full of disappointment
DONT CARE OUR CLASS WILL END UP BEATING THEM
noooooo anywhere but michigan!!!!!
I loathe Chris Partridge. I loathe that man. Loathe.
Parmus recruits are bullshit anyway, Peppers didnt even win the heismen
This kid will never see the field!
Ok I am bothered by this but srsly it doesnt matter
Apparently they didn't realize he was a Michigan lean.
Hope you all enjoyed! (Yes, I do enjoy posting Rutgers fans freaking out about Michigan. There's just something fun about it.)
EDIT: Also quick thanks to WD who mentioned their Rivals.com threads, which I forgot to link to. There are some good gems in there too. I particularly enjoyed this one:
This is the last year of the partridge in a pear tree.
Ash owns NJ in 2018.

I didn't realize Rutgers had that many fans
December 23rd, 2016 at 10:47 PM ^
Rutgers fan. He's shell shocked and just talking to himself.
December 24th, 2016 at 12:11 AM ^
Didn't win the Heisman = bullshit recruit. Lol. So for that Rutgers fan, there is only one guy per year who was a good recruit.
Has to be a joke, right? If that was posted here, I'd assume joke. But Rutgers fans... It's a joke, right??
December 24th, 2016 at 1:07 AM ^
It almost sounded like a State fan.
December 24th, 2016 at 11:41 AM ^
There's a family resemblance if you look at the Spartan and Scarlet Knight side to side.
December 24th, 2016 at 4:19 AM ^
I was thinking the exact same thing you were. Most of those comments sound completely childish and/or illogical. I mean......what did you think Partridge was going to do once he got the job at UofM? Recruit them to Rutg-arbag-ers? Or try and not recruit the best players he has a coach/player relationship with? Open your New Jersey eyes folks.
December 24th, 2016 at 6:35 AM ^
Obvious sarcasm is obvious.
December 24th, 2016 at 12:10 AM ^
They don't. They have one super fan that has multiple accounts.... similar to how half of MGoBlog is actually WD
December 23rd, 2016 at 10:35 PM ^
Yeah, I sat here, read the comments and chuckled to myself, but deep inside I still remember year one of Richrod and Hoke's last year and that keeps me a bit more humble. I don't want to invoke the wrath of the gods.

Rutgers tears kinda taste like candy canes.

Well, he's not wrong...
December 24th, 2016 at 12:12 AM ^
Well as his position coach, recruiter in that region, and former head coach, that's probably a good assumption... almost sad it took Rutgers this long to figure that out.
December 24th, 2016 at 10:40 AM ^
It is Partridge and "he needs to eat a dick right now" - hahaha! This is some of best schadenfruede ever. How delusional they truly are.
December 23rd, 2016 at 10:07 PM ^
Chris Ash is the future.
Peppers didn't even win the Heisman.
December 23rd, 2016 at 10:20 PM ^
Title says it all...
December 23rd, 2016 at 10:28 PM ^
He even put "Heismen"
December 23rd, 2016 at 10:44 PM ^
I hear a lot of people didn't win the Heisman this year.

spelled it as "Heismen" and it the context in which it was used he tried to make it sound as if anyone could easily "win a Heismen." If he's that cluess as to football, it does make me wonder what the hell he's doing on a fan site and his expected shelf life.
December 23rd, 2016 at 11:54 PM ^
But the comment about Peppers and the Heisman is clearly a joke.
December 24th, 2016 at 12:06 AM ^
That poster would fit in just fine here.
December 24th, 2016 at 12:28 AM ^
I think at least a handful of those comments were meant as sarcasm, not true schadenfreude. If it was RCMB or 11w I'd fell different, but it is Rutgers.
December 23rd, 2016 at 10:07 PM ^
but a Rutgers meltdown is like watching an insane person argue with a wall. You watch for a minute then realize they're going nowhere with it.
December 23rd, 2016 at 10:35 PM ^
Is Rutgers causal or symptomatic?
December 23rd, 2016 at 11:09 PM ^
Watching people freak out at walls I'd pretty entertaing tho.
December 23rd, 2016 at 10:07 PM ^
"DONT CARE OUR CLASS WILL END UP BEATING THEM"
Why do they think a 4/5* kid would want to commit to Rutgers? Even if he is in-state, he's just jeaporadizing his entire career. This shouldn't surprise them.
December 24th, 2016 at 11:20 AM ^
About a month ago talking about how Rutgers brought in about 100 potential recruits for the UofM game. About half left at halftime. The rest stayed and seemed to be watching Michigan. Rutgers may be our best recruiting tool in NJ
December 24th, 2016 at 12:30 PM ^
I laughed at that comment too.
To your question: Rutgers is beaten down badly right now, but with their new coach, some players probably see hope. Rutgers does currently have the #32 class overall (#6 in the Big Ten, ahead of everyone in the West). Add in love of your state and some kids will decide to go there. Specifically, they have 2 of the top 5 players in NJ committed, with Marquese Bell uncommitted at this time. Corey Bolds (#12), a DT we were interested in, is also uncommitted, along with the #9 and #11 ranked players.
I think their hope is misplaced. Michigan, OSU and Penn State are going to be dominant for a long time to come and Maryland is in position to reach that level as well. 4 powers in a single division doesn't leave much room for other teams to have success. I also think their hope is understandable.

Michigan has received a commitment from the #1 player in the State of New Jersey in 3 of the last 4 recruiting classes, including back-to-back.
4 players in the last 4 years from Paramus Catholic, which is now a cemented pipeline.
Safe to say in addition to taking back Detroit and the State of Michigan, Harbaugh has quite the claim of NJ now.
BTW, the #1 player in NJ in 2018 has a crystall ball of 100% to Michigan right now.
Beautiful, isn't it?
Michigan has commitments from the top player in Michigan, Colorado, New Jersey, Connecticut, New Mexico, Rhode Island, and Canada.

Although I love the recent string of Commitmas and pulling the cream of the crop from these states is cool, I don't see Harbaugh and Co setting up satellite camps in Bridgeport, Santa Fe, Providence or Ontario just yet.
But taking NJ again is just really fun.
December 23rd, 2016 at 11:13 PM ^
What? Who's talking about satellite camps?
December 24th, 2016 at 12:26 AM ^
Satirical in nature.
Alluding to the fact everyone is up in arms about JH swarming through the South but not really giving a fuck if he takes the best kids from areas not traditionally associated as recruiting "hotbeds".
In other words, it would be much more of a shock if we were to take the higher ranked kids from say... Florida, Georgia and Alabama. With Solomon and Collins, we might actually get close to doing that.
