Taylor Lewan was selected to the 2017 Pro Bowl. I did a search and didn't see a WD post on this.

Agreed, it is horrible. Although it made me notice something I never had before about the split M: below the "MICHIGAN," the silhouette of the block M appears because the box around the word flattens out the points. Kind of a nice effect.
May not be a popular opinion but I like the split M. Now I've discovered one reason why.

Aside, even the presence of a future All-Pro tackle (and another NFLer on the other end) couldn't save that 2013 offensive line.

I guess I'll be the guy to say this and take the downvotes:
He fucking harassed the girl who accused Brendan Gibbons of rape. If I remember correctly, he threatened her with rape, among other things. Somebody please tell me I'm wrong here. Seriously, fuck Taylor Lewan. He didn't represent Michigan well. I know, he had a cool tandem bike, and a moustache tattoo, but he was a complete asshole otherwise. I don't think of him as fondly as some here on MgoBlog.

My only question is was Lewan even arrested let alone convicted of a crime? Did he ever tell his side of the story?

He was expelled. That's not the same as convicted, but he got a hearing, the university considered evidence, and told him to GTFO.

Most talented tackle Michigan's had in forever, but emotionally he was a far better fit for Sparty, where they like the sort of facemask-grabbing shenanigans Lewan pulled on the regular.

On one hand, he came back to play another year when he would have been a sure-fire first round pick, at a time when the team was not exactly thriving. That speaks a lot to his character and values.
On the other hand, there was all the other stuff - punching the dipshit from OSU, reportedly backing Gibbons in a reprehensible way, acting the fool at the bar, etc. Apart from the Gibbons business, I could get past it, I suppose. But the Gibbons stuff ... yeesh.
