Jabrill Peppers is Very Classy
Statements like this are why Jabrill will always be one of my favorites. The kid works so hard, has such a great attitude, and is very humble. It has been a pleasure to watch him.
Peppers from today: ""Quite frankly, I don't think I should (win the Heisman). There are a lot of other guys here who are more qualified."

Also, when he made that quote, he was eating a ham sandwich liberally covered in Grey Poupon. And he was wearing an ascot. A MONOGRAMMED ascot...

You hit a lot of home runs on here FauxMo, unfortuantely this one was a strikeout. But dammit, don't change.
December 9th, 2016 at 4:40 PM ^
Come on man, this wasn't that bad. Anyway, they can't all be home runs. You gotta hit a few singles here and there... :-)

I'll give you a bunt single!

Jim Harbaugh strikes me as the kinda guy who'll be up 8 runs in the last inning of a co-ed softball game, and lay out to make a spectacular catch, robbing a girl who hasn't had a single hit all season.

Yes, yes, yes! And afterwards, he'd run up to her and scream, "YOU'RE OUT! YEAH!!!!" while waving the ball in her face...

Yeah but a bunt single looks like a line drive in the box score!!

Seems like anyone with the Woodson handle would would appreciate any ascot reference regardless of the rest of the content of the post.

Im not criticizing the threads...just wondering if this will look silly at some point in the future...like if someone said they read something in the paper this morning and posted it as if there was any chance everyone hadnt seen it by then.

I see MGoBlog as an aggregation of all Michigan-related news and we're in an age of 24/7 media, which inclues Twitter.
Therefore, I don't see a reason why it would look silly. If an event happens that is interesting to Michigan fans, who cares if it's found on ESPN, CNN, MLive, or Twitter?

As a fellow non-Tweeter, I appreciate Tweeters doing the dirty work, scouring through the masses of tweets and sharing with the Luddite crowd.

I copy all the great stuff from the board and email to my brother using my aol account. He then uses smoke signals to convey the funny stuff to his neighbors.

If he had a Woodson-seque game against OSU he may very well have won it, with how weak this year's Heisman class is.

he mentioned about the possiblity of coming back
gnaws at his competitive spirit and guides
him to come back. It would be awesome of
him to say, "I came here for a BIG 10 Championship
Ring and a National Championship and I don't ever
want to always wonder "what would have
happened if I had stayed for another year...."
Plus, if he's not projected to be the #1 pick in
the draft he still has to hone his craft. Right? :)

i don't think anybody is sure what postion he will play in the pros- special teams certainly, but he still need to work on pass coverage to make it at LB, SS, or Nickel. He really could benefit from an extra year in college that might prolong his career and move up a few spots in the draft, but is it really worth the risk of injury?

Who was the first guy to smile and hug Lamar like he was his own teammate after the Heisman winner was announced? Who was the one to take responsibility for the OSU loss? And knowing the circumstance of being deprived of a father, a brother, security, and income that Jabrill grew up within, being as well spoken and respectful as he is only as stunning as is his humility. When Jabrill says that growing up he distracted himself from his anxiety by playing sports and developing a work ethic, it is proof of his having to mature at an early age. Having a swagger isn't necessary having an ego or not being of high class, it's being competitive due to a high level of preparation and passion, such that many teammates develop from each other (just ask Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, or Steph Curry). Idk about the whole spitting on the field thing, but getting charged and mauled by a rival fan that's interrupting an encounter with one of the other team's coaches, let alone on the back of a devastating loss, is plenty of a reason to shove, not "punch", the guy out of his way. Jabrill has been nothing but supportive of his teammates and of his coaches, respectful and animated during interviews, and free of excuses since being in the national spotlight. Not to kiss Jabrill's ass or say that he's a perfect human being without even knowing him, but I honestly don't know how you figure this guy is anything but classy and deserving of high credibility, let alone to mitigate his attitude to nothing but a "swagger".
