I am sad it never really worked out for him here. But I think I can speak for us all when I say, "Nothing but the very best in the future, Shane!"

That's funny 901 P, because just around the corner from 901,  where they lived on Vaughn, I was giving his housemate/roommate Jake B my spiel about how I thought Shane had been fucked at Michigan by all the circumstances and the ways he was and wasn't handled, etc. So Jake said, well as his roommate I can definitely say he was................ by co-ed's many, many times!

So yeah, that probably DID happen to this clown!

LOL, you could have said that much more diplomatically. Ha!  But I get it...most of the people I really wanted to succeed flopped or didn't live up to expectations.  Will Campbell, Shane Morris, Ricardo Miller, Marvin Robinson, Derek Green...I thought these young men would be big time difference makers.  I wish Shane all the best and hope most of all he succeeds off the football field where everyone eventually lands.  Well wishes Mr. Morris.

I am stating a character evaluation, not spreading rumors. Spreading rumors is saying that you have a Dave Brandon poster in your bedroom. I took crap on this board when I said maybe Taylor Lewan wasn't the nicest guy out there when the rest of you loved your Mr. Twosie, and for saying Dave Brandon sucks when the rest of you were on his jock.

Shane Morris is a kid who came to UM mentally unprepared to play at this level. Argue why he was mentally unprepared if you like, but arguing in the opposite only shows your reason is surpassed by your blindness fandom. I will trust that he was lazy and entitled as opposed to being stupid, or unlucky or a wimp. But if you want to argue that I am incorrect, give me a reason I am incorrect and not Maize a blue colored, jingoistic bs.

You are "stating a character evaluation" that says everything about your character and nothing about Morris's.  You sound egotistical and persecuted - sure, in your world, you got it all right on Lewan and Brandon and nobody else did, but that, again, just speaks to your own character flaws.

You have no idea what caused Morris to fail to become the starter or backup at Michigan.  You can pretend that you are all psychologically insightful and stuff, but that's just you making more shot up.  Your assertion that others must prove you wrong or else admit that you are right is another interesting insight into your character.

My advice is take a vacation from posting.  A long one.

Hearsay from classmates in high school? We're digging a bit here. That hearsay may or may not be accurate. It also doesn't necessarily have anything to do with what he is now. Four years is a long time, particularly in young adulthood. I would speculate that a lot of people on this blog changed and grew quite a bit between 18 and 22 years old and might not be fond of everything they said or did when they were a teenager.

In other words you got your pure speculation in first, and therefore it's incumbent on everyone else to speculate in a way that satisfies you, out of unlimited possibilities, or else your unfounded speculation must be true? That's sum great logic! You win, I guess....

You could easily point to 100 things that wouldn't have to be the "character issues" that you heard about from 2 people from his highschool.  Nobody on this board knows for sure, and most of us decide that we want to continue to root for somebody that we had high hopes for but it didn't work out for him.

Well there is some evidence that supports the idea of entitlement with how his recruitment went down and Hoke not taking a QB for 2 years. If not by him at least from his camp.

I wish the kid well. And even if he did come in with some sense of entitlement that surely changed when Harbaugh took over and Morris sweated out two years with his mates and hes leaving a better man, a Michigan Man. Thats what college is all about after all.

Having seen him first hand when my daughter was very ill and spending a lot of time at Mott this couldn't be further from the truth. Shane was there almost every week and treated my entire family with respect and kindness. Not an ounce of entitlement. In fact he came off as the opposite of entitled. Humble and thankful for what he had.

The Mott experiences of the players are a true point of compassion, respect and growth for these athletes.  There are few fanbases that can offer the numbers of prepubescent and young adult fanatics like Michigan.  When they are deathly ill...it's where character takes root.

One of my favorites was Omameh.

I wanted to find the clip where Omameh rides Te'o while shoelace took it to the house. Oh well...

Hoke...Denard...Patrick...good guys... I'm kind of nostalgic for those days somehow.

Found the run... you can see Te'o after getting planted by Patrick at the 16s mark. I know there's an Iso shot of Te'o on this play that is out there somewhere...

But really... how's your daughter?
