B1G Bowl Matchups

Submitted by jimmyshi03 on

Not sure what kind of record the conference is staring down in bowls this season. Some of these matchups look not so favorable, especially for those early in bowl season. Looking at it, first thought is 4-6, with wins by UM, Wisconsin, Iowa and Maryland. OSU a toss up. But a couple of those games could get ugly.

Fiesta (CFP): OSU v. Clemson

Rose: PSU v. USC

Orange: UM v. FSU

Cotton: Wisconsin v. Western Michigan

Outback: Iowa v. Florida (Is a war crime)

Music City: Nebraska v. Tennessee

Holiday: Minnesota v. Wazzu

Pinstripe: N'western v. Pitt

Foster Farms: IU v. Utah

Quicklane: Maryland v. BC (a slightly less awful war crime)

Failure pile in a sadness Bowl: MIchigan State

McSorley chucking the ball up for grabs is not sustainable against a team in SC that has way more athletes than Wisconsin ever will.   Plus it's a defacto home game for them.

I think that SC will win, 31-16 with a kick return for a TD by Jackson.

He's going to cover half the field himself.  And JuJu and their offense will have a field day against that defense.  By the third quarter, you're going to hear the same excuses that were used back in September about how PSU is still in rebuilding mode.

to USC, they have improved as much or more as i'm guessing you perceive psu has improved.   and thinking that psu has gotten better does pass the eye test, it's just that USC has done more.

USC is probably playing better than everyone except Bama right now. I would rather not see them in bowl game. Plus Don Brown faced FSU last season so I am hoping he has something special in store for them.

If UM shuts down their run (which I think will happen, lots of DL wanting to go pro/Don Brown knowing their scheme), I think it could get out of hand fast in favor of the good guys. Their QB sucks and he will have lock down corners on his WRs.

FSU is kind of like the ACC equivlent of PSU, which UM matches up well against.

***Being from near Kzoo, I feel bad for Western. Walking into a buzzsaw. UW will be MAD as hell they gave up their lead to PSU and their defense is no joke. TJ Watt Alert.
