E-mailing the big ten

Unfortunately the big ten does not appear to have a directory with e-mail addresses. Some searching suggests that the general format is first initial, last name @bigten.org. This suggests that the coordinator of football officals for the big ten, Bill Carollo's e-mail would be [email protected] and Jim Delaney's would be [email protected]. Some websearching suggests delaney may alternatively use [email protected]. I have e-mailed to all three addresses and have not gotten anything kicked back. Can anyone else confirm these e-mails or suggest better ones?

Our alumni and fan bases need to stop complaining. We lost due to some bad calls, but was the bad spot less important than Wilt's fumble in the third? What about the offensive line's inability to get to the second level? No. There are many reasons we lost. Time to regroup and get ready to demolish our Orange Bowl opponent.

There is no reason that the big ten will make changes if they don't here complaints. One e-mail will certainly not have an impact. Thousands might. I did not complain about specific calls, I did say that when thousands of fans question the imtegrity and competence of your referees, it will eventually have an impact. I respectfully suggested that having a public explanation of policies and measures in place would do a great deal to reduce such concerns. While I am under no illision that my e-mail alone will make a difference, I do think if everyone who has taken the effort to post about this issue in mgoblog, sent an e-mail and encouraged one or two ther alumni to do the same, it might. Respectfully (and perhaps incorrectly), I believe the energy spent getting people to make legitimate suggestions as to how the big ten could improve their product has more chance of making a difference than merely posting on mgoblog.

That Michigan Rivals article is wonderfully put together.  I love that they asked the B10 about why the sudden change in this policy (both in the re-hired ref from 2002 and the ref who wasn't deemed "objective enough" in 2006) and how they got no answer.  Typical B10 arrogance. 

I am planning to personally boycott the B10 until this is all resolved or at least commented on.  Absolute travesty - and I will feel a whole lot better when they don't soak up a dime of my money in the meantime.

Luckily the Verizon contract for my house is coming due, so this is an easy fix.  Buh-bye B10!  See ya!

If the election taught me anything, it is that a well crafted video that can be shared on social media is the most powerful weapon of our time. If anyone has the skills to make one, that is our best bet to have an impact. I would keep it simple. Just ask "Why would the B10 place self proclaimed "life long Ohio State fans" on the crew to ref the game." Then go play by play highlighting the missed calls (being sure to point out the Ohio born and raised refs in the background throwing the game). Keep a running total of yards handed to Ohio State. And of course show the side shot of 4th down were it looks that OSU is short. Finish it up by stating, "The Big Ten needs to apologize for allowing Ohio State fans to ref the Michigan v Ohio State game. Poll voters and the college football playoff committee can show their disapproval of the B10's actions by putting Michigan ahead of Ohio State on their ballots."

I have a step brother who does corporate production videos for a living. I ran it by him and he said he could have a 90 second video done in a day. Anything more than two minutes and people lose focus or won't bother watching because they just stare at the time remaining and get antsy. Let me know if you want him to put something together. He said he could even layer images or words to fade in and out of the cuts to make it look very professional. He was thinking an image of a stoic Bo and Woody would resonate well with viewers to close out. He would want to know if there should be any music playing and what type of font to use. Maybe even get Congress involved.
