OT - Clint Dempsey Goal today
I know there are quite a few soccer fans on these pages, so I thought I'd link to a great goal by Clint Dempsey. It may be removed off Youtube soon, but here it is for now.

Fulham needed to win by four goals today against Juventus in the Europa Cup (kinda like the NIT of European Soccer), and got it. Really a remarkable game to watch.
that was great touch but you have to wonder why the keeper is so far off his line.
Edit: looking again the replay shows the keeper is only about 3 yards out. my bad. still a great touch by Dempsey
Do I see a bit of a shiner on the Texas Swashbuckler? Who says soccer is not a physical sport? Only those who played in gym class or at the rec league level, that's who!

holy hell, that was awesome. That was a smooth goal. I can't believe how composed he was to take that. The audacity! Hopefully Deuce, Landon, and Jozy are firing on all cylinders come June.

This goal is great and I hope he continues this in the World Cup. Also I hope the team that shows up to the WC is the same team that upset Spain and was up on Brasil 2-0.

The announcer cracked me up--he was quickly running out of adjectives but still bravely working hard to convey his excitement.
Great enthusiasm - but for Dempsey, he has the talent to score goals in June. We just need a whole team with that type of creativity.
The US has never had a dominant forward... We need it, in the next generation.
With Landon's recent play, Dempsey rounding into form and Davies' progress I cannot wait for this summer! I hope the English fans feel a little fear every time one of our American footballers scores for their club, because they'll know what they are capable of come June!
