get "blue balls"
They intend to screw us out of the playoff, but we don't let it happen

We are in control the whole game...getting ready for an euphoric feeling tomorrow
November 25th, 2016 at 11:50 AM ^
not optimistic. we have a shot, but i think it will be agonizingly close but ultimately out of our reach. i hope i am dead-wrong.
November 25th, 2016 at 1:37 PM ^
I really feel like anything could happen. It could be a blowout for either team. But if I had to guess I'd say we lose. We will need the best career performance from several guys to pull it out, which is very possible.
November 26th, 2016 at 7:49 AM ^
I don't see any chance we blow them out. On the road, lost our quarterback, and we still have one more step to take before catch them from a program standpoint. Ohio by 12 - 14.
All that said, I'm a pessimist and lousy with predictions.
November 25th, 2016 at 11:50 AM ^
what the hell: UM 27 OSU 23.
WHO'S GOT IT BETTER THAN US?!
November 26th, 2016 at 1:25 AM ^
The Pistons Blog has it better than us?
November 25th, 2016 at 11:54 AM ^
Our chances slip away early after a late hit designed by Meyer knocks speight out and then okorn looks completely over matched like every back up QB for the last decade. osu 42 UM 13.
November 25th, 2016 at 2:19 PM ^
No way in hell we lose by 29 tomorrow and no way in hell our defense gives up 42 points.
November 25th, 2016 at 11:56 AM ^
14-13, Michigan wins. I think this will be very low scoring.
November 25th, 2016 at 11:56 AM ^
But I had a dream earlier in the week that Ohio State was driving late in the 4th quarter to potentially tie the game before Peppers jumped a pass and took it to the house for 6 to make it a two score game and effectively sealing it for Michigan.
You know who to thank if this was a vision at least.
November 25th, 2016 at 4:03 PM ^
Dear God, if Jabrill got a game-sealing INT I would be ecstatic. Especially after all the shit OSU fans talk about the fact that he has never picked off a pass. That would be the most crow-eating way for them to lose, and I would love every second of it.

I dont think UM will win. I hope I am wrong. More importantly, I hope the fanbase reacts reasonably to this team playing an excellent, higher-ranked team on the road.

There will be plenty of threads for "realism"
/ s
November 25th, 2016 at 12:21 PM ^
One of the amusing things about this place is that, like most sports blogs, the threads for realism about rivalry games are always on time - about two weeks after the game is actually played if it is a loss, and about two minutes after the same game if it is a win. Well, maybe more like two days after a win, if we factor out threads started in irrational exuberance or started while drunk.

Would have said that last year but we are the better/more talented team.

This -- we lost badly last year because they had far better players ... basically an all rookie NFL team. We are more talented this year. Not saying we win but it should not be a blowout.
November 25th, 2016 at 7:38 PM ^
our run game is improved, they have sputtered on offense when they can't run wild, and we are near the top in rush D. I'm so tired of feeling like we can't win this game, WE CAN. Michigan 24, BlowHio 16.
November 26th, 2016 at 12:28 AM ^
If we win, its because we are able to run the ball with three or four different guys all day long. I have a feeling about Evans tomorrow.
November 25th, 2016 at 11:59 AM ^
Same score as last year.

Michigan 42 - OSU 13

While the ball is in the air he changes into street clothes, runs into the stands, pushes down an 8-year old buckeye fan, and catches the ball he just hit in the glove he brought to the game.

Has let Wisc and msu score more, and are one of the worst team in defensive explosiveness in the country. They are like 99 in that category, while Michigan offense is pretty good. I believe they are top 20.
Bottom line, they have not done well verse pro style teams, and harbaugh will get their young guys out of position.
Michigan is beating this osu team comfortably tomorrow. They are the more experanced and more talented team.
November 25th, 2016 at 12:05 PM ^
I don't see a team that crapped its pants in Kinnick doing any better in the Shoe. I think it'll be a far too comfortable win for OSU ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
November 25th, 2016 at 12:17 PM ^
We were not focused at Kinnick. We lost the game on unforced errors on Offense, Defense, and Special Teams.
But we will be laser-focused in the Shoe.
If we do not win, it will not be for the same reasons as at Kinnick.
November 25th, 2016 at 12:22 PM ^
Whichever. Either way when was the last time Michigan played a road game well enough to beat OSU?
November 25th, 2016 at 12:29 PM ^
Last win in Columbus was 2000, when Michigan won 38-26.

November 25th, 2016 at 12:21 PM ^
Not to mention, Spartan Stadium is more hostile (for Michigan visitors only) than Kinnick.
Our team responded incredibly well after they took a 7-0 lead and East Lansing was rocking.
November 25th, 2016 at 12:24 PM ^
and even sparty took ohio to the edge of the woodshed. there is a chance, but it all has to line up pretty perfectly for it to come true.
November 25th, 2016 at 2:28 PM ^
East Lansing was 1/3 Maize and Blue.
Kinnick was 3 times the atmosphere Spartan stadium was.
I was at both games.
November 25th, 2016 at 2:40 PM ^
Overall that's true, but that's mostly due to the closeness of the respective games and how much our offense was struggling (we scored on our first 6 posessions at State).
Our offense deserves credit for being able to take the crowd out in EL; if we would have failed to score on our first drive so easily after MSU scored first, it would've been going insane.
November 25th, 2016 at 12:25 PM ^
I think the noon kickoff, and the fact that they now have a loss on their record counteracts that a bit. The biggest games for OSU this year have all been at night. The only two noon games they played were Bowling Green and MSU. They struggled against MSU, and started slow against Bowling Green, actually down 7-0 after Barrett threw a pick-six.
Michigan has played mostly noon games.
I actually believe that the start time is a slight advantage.
November 25th, 2016 at 1:30 PM ^
external factors are much less impactful when you're just rolling the ball out at noon
November 25th, 2016 at 12:04 PM ^
Here's a link to the recruits in attendance for tomorrow's game. It's from 11 Warriors since they are the home team, but I am posting it because several recruits are also on UM's watch list. If UM puts OSU away, they have a chance to take the wind out of OSU's recruiting sails and who knows from there.
November 25th, 2016 at 12:16 PM ^
Speight: OSU 24, UM 14
O'Korn: OSU 31, UM 9
Those predictions are painful, especially because several good players are leaving after this season and OSU has been in re-loading mode for a couple of years. (Michigan isn't there yet.) Trust in Harbaugh, though, for the long term.
November 25th, 2016 at 12:35 PM ^
The annoying part is about all of those players leaving is that Michigan should be taking a step back next season talent wise, while the Buckeyes will be getting better since their team is so young. Like, they might have their entire damn team back including JT Barrett. Gonna take a few more seasons of high level recruiting and development to close the gap with them.
November 26th, 2016 at 1:13 AM ^
It'll be very hard to do with the way OSU is recruiting right now. I know we are in good position to finish strong with our 2017 class, but right now the difference between their average rating (95.5) and ours (89.2) is more than the difference between ours and Rutgers (84.57). Our second highest recruit is ranked around their average (95.33), and their 13th highest recruit would be our third highest (by a fair amount).
