Bummer, but plently of other OL to go after...would have been a great get.

Well hell, Can't get them all and he seemed to always be trending that way.

Plenty of other linemen they're after and will be interesting to see how all of this shakes out.  Hopefully this is good news for Wilson.

Wasn't it reported a couple months ago that Bama taking Wills meant they wouldn't have room for Wilson, which meant good news for us? That's assuming they get Leatherwood too.

Bama's own mods didn't think he was a take because he wanted to play tackle and Bama was recruiting him as a guard. Sam Webb also thought Michigan led after his visit.

Fast forward almost three months and Wills is still uncommitted. The last time SEC Country got in touch with Lafayette High School (Lexington, Ky.) coach Eric Shaw he said a commitment could possibly come at the end of October. Now a decision is not likely until the end of November.

Wills is fresh off an official visit to Michigan a few weeks ago, and the Wolverines have some momentum. It’s the only official visit Wills has taken so far. An official visit to Alabama has not been scheduled at this time, but Shaw believes Wills is still interested in the Tide.

“I’m still sure Alabama is high on his list,” Shaw said.

Another source close to Wills’ recruitment believes Alabama is not going to be the school for the nation’s No. 10 offensive tackle because of the position the Tide want him to play. Alabama is recruiting him at guard, and Wills wants to play tackle in college.

One of the reasons why Alabama wants Wills to move inside on the offensive line is because it has two big-time tackle commits in 5-star talent Alex Leatherwood and the nation’s No. 1 overall junior college prospect Elliot Baker.

Shaw is unsure if Wills has an official visit to Tuscaloosa set, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see him on campus at least one more time before making a decision.

If Wills doesn’t end up at Alabama or Michigan, my pick is Notre Dame.

This makes me wonder if they told Wills he could now play Tackle... which could mean...

NO IT DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING. STOP PUTTING THOSE THOUGHTS IN MY HEAD. ALEX LEATHERWOOD IS NOT COMING TO MICHIGAN. I REPEAT, HE IS NOT...

Coming to Michigan?

....

More seriously, I believe he will stick with Alabama, but my Mgoheart would like it the otherway. Hard not to hope for a connection here. Doubt it, though... Probably...

many of the commitment videos and those type things can be cheesy (or maybe im just a harsh critic) but its a huge deal and a major decision so they should try to make it fun and memorable.  and wills' video with the suits was not cheesy, it was badass - start out getting fresh at the barber before heading to the tailor with family and friends, pretty cool idea.

shame he didnt pick m as hes a darn good prospect.  no clue where hes projected but he looks like all league OT or potential 1st round OG, gifted prospect eithe way.  its a deep year for OL though and m has done a nice job with many of them so im sure theyll do ok

and a 3* for 2017 OL. Nice class for them. Just replace the current 5*s with new 5*s.

Curious if UM can seal the deal with the remaining top targets to reload the OL with guys who can play early.
