RUMOR: Speight dinged up
November 13th, 2016 at 8:09 PM ^
That's a problem. O'Korn best get ready for Indiana.
November 13th, 2016 at 8:35 PM ^
I haven't watched a ton of Indiana this year, but if their defense is anything like the last couple times we faced them, Johnny Jumpman should be able to move the ball around.
Really need the defense to play them better than last year though.
November 13th, 2016 at 8:47 PM ^
Defense has improved from the last few years but nothing to be afraid of. However, with a new QB that might bring on its own challenges regardless of the defense.

(not including the last week of games)
They're 23rd against the run, 65th against the pass. An average offense would be expected to score 26.3 points against them.
So they're not horrible, but not great either.
November 14th, 2016 at 8:31 AM ^
in this situation puts us at a disadvantage.
November 14th, 2016 at 10:57 AM ^
Their defense has been quite decent this year. It's even stepped up in some clutch moments.

Jabrill for QB!!
November 13th, 2016 at 8:10 PM ^
He had his arm in a sling with a big ice pack on his shoulder after the game.
November 13th, 2016 at 8:46 PM ^
Standard procedure....unless it was his left arm/shoulder.
November 13th, 2016 at 8:54 PM ^
It was indeed his left shoulder.
November 14th, 2016 at 12:03 AM ^
According to Chris Balas over at Rivals this is patently false.
Why spread this crap man?
November 14th, 2016 at 10:16 AM ^
Well, I saw him with my own eyes get on the bus after the game and he had his left arm in a sling. Just telling you what I saw.

Yeah I'm not totally sure about that guy as a reliable source.
November 13th, 2016 at 8:55 PM ^
Yeah, I would wait until we hear from someone who has been in contact with Counter-Strike guy.

What does "dinged up" exactly mean?
Can he play effectively or can't he?
November 13th, 2016 at 8:16 PM ^
Exactly. If he has just a hairline ding, we'll be OK. But if it's a compund ding, we may be in trouble. God help us if he needs a dingputation or a dingerotomy...
November 13th, 2016 at 8:56 PM ^
a dingerectomy.
November 13th, 2016 at 9:11 PM ^
Or is could be an out-patient procedure like a dingeroscopy.
November 13th, 2016 at 11:39 PM ^
Only way to beat ding cancer.
November 14th, 2016 at 6:51 AM ^
Or a dingerectomy on his ding-a-ling.
November 13th, 2016 at 8:54 PM ^
How does a "ding" compare to a "boo boo"?
November 13th, 2016 at 9:15 PM ^
...I just hope there is no honey involved....
November 13th, 2016 at 10:36 PM ^
in Brady Hoke parlance.
November 13th, 2016 at 8:12 PM ^
I also heard of players getting into fights with fans after the game and rushing the field. Any truth to those rumors?

Didn't hear that, but I can confirm that I got into a fight with my fiancée after she told me it was 'just a game'.
November 13th, 2016 at 8:59 PM ^
One of the first dates I had with my wife was the 1994 Colorado game. Yep, THAT one.
So, as we are walking to my place after the game, I tell her that she may want to just leave since I am going to be miserable all night. I was trying to be nice, but she thought I was blowing her off and almost left and never looked back. Instead, she stayed and learned that I was actually being honest and was, in fact, miserable for hours.
We have been married for 19 years and have three lovely kids, a house, a dog, blah blah blah. The point - You need to carefully warn and educate your soon-to-be better half that, crazy as it may be, this is never just a game! There will be tons of things that he/she thinks are totally important that you don't get at all. This is yours.
November 13th, 2016 at 9:05 PM ^
I got into a fight with an ottoman last night after the game. I showed him who's the boss.

It looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.

It was posted on Scout. Fans rushed the field and apparently a few blows were exchanged.

I was at the game: As the team was walking to the locker room, Stribling was walking the opposite direction away from everyone else. Not sure why, it was weird. There were already a lot of fans on the field, and one ran into him and fell down. At that point he was becoming surrounded by fans and he pushed one to the ground. Godin quickly grabbed him and escorted him back to the rest of the team heading to the locker room.
Was glad it was limited to that, it could have been a lot worse.
November 14th, 2016 at 12:53 PM ^
was able to knock someone to the ground? Well at least that's a positive development.
I kid.
November 13th, 2016 at 8:13 PM ^
Might be for the best. Not saying speight still isn't the future, but it might be best to see what o'korn can do without risking further insult to an injured speight who's confidence is probably shaken.
November 13th, 2016 at 8:15 PM ^
Yeah, I'll go with the I'd prefer no injury. Maybe it's just me.

It's one game.
I've seen nothing to indicate he's that mentally weak. In fact, I think he's probably pretty good at shaking off the mental effects.
Unfortunately, you can't just shake off a real physical shoulder injury the same way.
November 13th, 2016 at 8:21 PM ^
My Facebook said collar bone break, hope not. If he is out O'Korn gives us a different look OSU won't have a lot of film on.
November 13th, 2016 at 8:27 PM ^
yeah, that look is okorn checking his first option then scrambling

November 14th, 2016 at 6:35 AM ^
Minus a WHOLE LOT of athletic ability
November 13th, 2016 at 11:05 PM ^
In the NFL you check through the progressions because the idea of scrambling after one read is untenable.
In College Football, it's a completely viable option, and teams of won National Championships off of it.
November 14th, 2016 at 5:37 AM ^
Yep jok is a championship level qb. Stop with this. If okorn was the guy he would start. Okorn starting hurts the team.
November 14th, 2016 at 6:30 AM ^
I don't see where the person you replied to stated otherwise. Their opinion is valid.
