RUMOR: Speight dinged up

Submitted by poppinfresh on
Sam Webb hinting that Speight's shoulder is dinged up and we may see more of Okorn in non blowout time against Indiana. There are Twitter rumors (the account name not lending a ton of credence) that speight is dealing with a more severe shoulder injury, a broken collar bone. https://mobile.twitter.com/MichNasty86/status/797930097483231232 There are also rumors on Facebook similar to this Twitter account but hard to tell since Michigan doesn't release injury info and I didn't see speight in a sling last night. Again Webb not saying broken collar bone, but dinged up. Rumors more severe.

I also heard of players getting into fights with fans after the game and rushing the field. Any truth to those rumors?

One of the first dates I had with my wife was the 1994 Colorado game.  Yep, THAT one.

So, as we are walking to my place after the game, I tell her that she may want to just leave since I am going to be miserable all night.  I was trying to be nice, but she thought I was blowing her off and almost left and never looked back.  Instead, she stayed and learned that I was actually being honest and was, in fact, miserable for hours.

We have been married for 19 years and have three lovely kids, a house, a dog, blah blah blah.  The point - You  need to carefully warn and educate your soon-to-be better half that, crazy as it may be, this is never just a game!  There will be tons of things that he/she thinks are totally important that you don't get at all.  This is yours.

I was at the game: As the team was walking to the locker room, Stribling was walking the opposite direction away from everyone else. Not sure why, it was weird. There were already a lot of fans on the field, and one ran into him and fell down. At that point he was becoming surrounded by fans and he pushed one to the ground. Godin quickly grabbed him and escorted him back to the rest of the team heading to the locker room.

Was glad it was limited to that, it could have been a lot worse.

Might be for the best. Not saying speight still isn't the future, but it might be best to see what o'korn can do without risking further insult to an injured speight who's confidence is probably shaken.
