"A Little Victor with Spartan Devotion" - A Feel-Good story out of Motts
Real good story out of Mott's and another reason why i love sports and that it can transcend the RCMB name calling and cooler-pooping content from OSU fans.
tl;dr - Cancer sucks, Mott's is incredible and Go Blue!

Great story. I respect Ian's "spartan will". However, I can't help but to picture the Dave Chappelle skit where he plays video games with the cancer patient and imagine harbaugh on the sticks.

No. but they have a Witch Doctor. Problem is, Dantonio has been utilizing his services since 2008.

Her services*
It's the one letting out those horrendous banshee noises during msu hoops games.

And all their medical stuff seems to be in Grand Rapids and not East Lansing.

They sorta do. Their med school classes are centralized at either their EL campus or Grand Rapids and then students spread out and do their 3rd and 4th years at one of their handful of satelite affilated hospitals. Grand Rapids, Flint, Lansing, Midland, etc... They don't have the same centralized hospital arrangement that UofM does (or most other universities for that matter).
Bravo to the crew who took care of him, looking at that MRI, that must've been one heck of a surgery (and the chemo/radiation to follow I'm sure was no joke).

My wife and I have a family friend who actually did part of their MSU residency at St. John's in Detroit, so they might have some connections to hospitals in the Detroit area as well. Their program was obstetrics, so I don't know if the program makes a difference - I assume it does probably,

She graduated this year and I think her commencment ceremony was one of the few times she actually went to East Lansing at all during her years in the program.
She did pretty much everything in metro Detroit/online/from home.
She did go to U of M for undergrad, and no offense to my brother's wife, but I don't think I will ever voluntarily see a Spartan Doctor, for anything, myself...that program did not seem to be churning out the best and brightest.

Awesome story here, and the kid has a sweet name, too! He's one Spartan who is definitively not "thick as a brick." Rock on, little dude.

Hope that 'lil fella follows his adventurous pathway and plays for for Sparty (versus swimming with sharks).
Great read, thanks for sharing.

Let's be honest. We're just as capable of of "name calling and pooper cooling content" as Staee and OSU fans. We are simply more clever. Great story about a tough little kid. All the best to him.

just trying to bring a little levity to the board; every fan base has their dumb commenters.
