A big thanks to our sponsors. The show is presented by UGP & Moe's and frankly would not be happening without them; Rishi and company have been on board here from almost the beginning. Shopping with them helps us and supports good dudes. Check out the new Bo Store on Main.

Our other sponsors are also key in the expanding empire: thanks to Homesure Lending, Ann Arbor Elder Law, Liz Crowe, the Residence Inn Ann Arbor Downtown, the University of Michigan Alumni Association, Michigan Law Grad, Tailgater Concierge, and debuting this week, Deo Bookkeeping, in the darkness.

1. Offense

starts at 1:00

Higdon is better than Weber. That unstoppable offset draw. Braden at left tackle. Speight puts himself back on the Rudock trajectory. A wild Wheatley touchdown appears.

2. Defense

starts at 22:15

Eh, it was the usual. Hurst bellyrub and the likeability factor, Glasgow running a quarterback out of bounds for no gain. Nitpicks: Metellus suspectedon the Turner catch over Gedeon, Winovich blamed for that one long run, and random chance finally answering a prayer blamed for the TD.

3. Fifteen minutes of giggling over Ohio State

starts at 36:44

This was an upset, but lol: Ohio State has a loss—kick six part of an uncharacteristic special teams meltdown. Barrett shut down as a runner.

4. Talking Big Ten With Jamie Mac

starts at 52:38

Perry Hills: no picks! Funniest part of MSU-Maryland? Eastern Michigan is ahead of Michigan State in S&P+ rankings. Iowa could backdoor cover that 7-win threshold this year with a bowl win. Wisconsin appears to be legit; Nebraska hasn’t really paid anyone. Clayton Thorson: unstoppable throw god 2.0; Austin Carr could have something to do with that. Lagow took the chaos out of chaosteam; their right tackle is a problem spot. Rutgers-Minnesota was an even game. Commissioning Rivalry Trophy for Rutgers-MSU.

Thanks guys.  More than anything, I am just confused that PSU was able to shut down OSU's run game.  Utterly and completely baffled.  Did they get back 3 all-american linebackers or something?

As an aside, is our 49-10 drubbing of PSU now a 'quality' win?  Or just when talking with Buckeye fans?

In a lot of our games, a playmaker goes down just prior.  PSU was down to walk-ons at LB.  Rutgers would've been destroyed either way, but they lost their best player.  Colorado's QB got hurt.  Illinois was down to their third-string QB.

M's been taking care of business, but a lot of this stuff is hard to qualify because our opponents haven't just had injuries, but key injuries.

Losing Clark and Newsome were huge.  But I'm talking entire position groups getting wiped out, on teams with far less depth.

Take Illinois, for example.  We just played their equivalent of both Speight AND O'Korn going down.  We'd still win, but think we're the same team with a QB Harbaugh only trusts to lead block on sweeps?

Minnesota and Wisconsin play for Paul Bunyan's Axe, in honor of their shared logging culture. Michigan State and Rutgers, in honor of their shared culture, should play for Pauly D's Can of Axe.

At one point in the podcast, Jamie used the phrase "Passer-Rating", but in context, it momentarily sounded like he said "passerating", a "W"-esque verberation for that thing that quarter-ballers do on third-and-long.  I recommend use and adoption of this neologism.

Normally, this would be a good game, and I too would expect Wisconsin to "run away" with it eventually.

But notice that the Badgers are slowly decimating themselves with injuries.  Nebraska is not facing the same Wisconsin team that Michigan, Ohio St. and Iowa played:

Note all of the injuries from Oct 23 game.  Jack Cichy loss is going to be huge.  And TJ Watt is questionable this coming Saturday vs. Huskers.

I like the idea of MGoBlog-read ads.  The sketches have actually been entertaining, which led me to -- and here's the big thing here -- SIT THROUGH THEM whereas I'd otherwise just skip past them.

Unfortunately since I live out of state my take won't result in a customer, but this is some honest feedback to bring back to your sponsors who opted? consented? to sketch ads.  Their messages were heard in a world where 99% of ads are skipped in one form or another.
