Epic. Our two main rivals play each other, sandwiched between our games with them. Delicious intrigue. Will
be a colossal struggle. (To see who gets a first down first, I mean.)

Does the transitive property apply to rivalries. Because Knight and Illini fans are ardent rivals of UM, are they therefore ardent rivals of each other? Or... are they like brahs in arms -- enemy of my enemy is my friend, kind of thinking? Will Rutgers players give the Illini players some key tips how not to lose by 79 pts, like Rutgers achieved last week?

Do we root for the Badgers* with the hope that maybe MSU makes their game versus OSU their Super Bowl and pulls off the unthinkable (giving OSU 2 losses before we play them)?

Highly unlikely, of course.

*I'm not suggesting that by NOT rooting for the Badgers, you're rooting for OSU. You simply can choose not to give a damn. Don't ever let someone tell you there are only two options.

With Iowa and Michigan State going up in flames, I'd like to keep Ohio State clean to give Michigan more possibilities of going to the CFB Playoff SOS-wise.

My idea is that even if Michigan loses a close one to Ohio State, and Ohio State continues on undefeated, and if a ton of things go Michigans way in the PAC 12 and Big 12, maybe Michigan sneaks into the Playoff.

Certainly rooting for the Badgers but I don't think they stand a chance. I see a game similar to ours vs OSU last year, close for a while but a blowout at the end.

Rutgers Illinois on the other hand, that's one heck of a matchup! They should seriously be playing to not get demoted to the MAC. Come on up Central and Western.

Both Rutgers-Illinois and Northwestern-Michigan State intrigue me for both gleeful and morbid football reasons, and then only because both of these games have a real potential to be phenomenally bad football if one or both teams is not exactly at their best, whatever that happens to mean in each case - I mean, we saw Rutgers give it their all, right?

They should absolutely give the B1G more love.

That said, let's be honest...there are only 2 top 10 teams in the B1G and Wisconsin is looking like a fringe top 10 team.

The Bear made a good point about Ole Miss, Nebraska's best win is Oregon. Where would they be if they had to play Bama and FSU? If we're honest, they'd get smoked. They'd get smoked if they played Ole Miss.

IMO, based off of eye test...

The B1G has...

(2) top 5 type teams

(1) #10-#15 team

(1) #15-#18 team

...and if Iowa can get their shit together, I think they're a fringe Top 25 type team.

Due respect to Rutgers, but that common opponent tells us nothing about Ohio State. I think Wisconsin will be a very interesting matchup.

I'm also very keen to see how far Indiana has come. It has 'trap game' written all over it for Michigan.

...against Wisconsin's defense.

I don't think you get any true indicator on the OSU defense from Wisconsin because the weather isn't going to be shit. We missed 3 FGs, let's say you make 2 and get a TD on the other drive. It's 27-7 and no one is talking about how Michigan's offense escaped the Badgers.

Also Michigan's offense will undoubtably be better versus by the time OSU rolls around. So I'm looking at the OSU offense versus the Badgers D, I'm hoping Wisconsin shuts them down and gives me a better feeling about our D reverse whatever that was last year.

...and for the weekly Corso having an episode on camera moment.

The guys do a great job of just helping him along and not drawing attention to it when he can't speak anything other than jibberish for about 5 seconds. It doesn't even look like he knows what's going on when it happens.

Keep doing your thing Lee.
