I noticed they promise "no pinch, no sweat, no stink" in their underwear advertisement. I think I can launch a pretty solid class action suit against the company, because I KNOW they can't invent underwear for men that eliminate "stink"...

Ok - so I was hammered and watching the NHL playoffs and this ad came on. My kids (yes... sometimes daddy has a six pack hoping for the Wings to make 1 freaking stop in net) said I needed to get a pair of these. So I did. I bought 3 pairs (not cheap, I think $20 with shipping). They have a weird netting feel and don't really do anything other than chafe if worn too long. I wore a pair and went hiking for the day... um, no. One of three has already fallen apart. For my money I'll take Hanes any day of the week over these. And that's about all for my TMI post this week.

The netting feel isn't that noticeable at all for me. I also wear mine while biking and playing basketball and I haven't had any chafing.

Just keep your ballbag out of the meat grinder and you should be good to go.

Minnesota: bad at college football, good at making clothes. Would recommend anything Red Wing or Duluth Trading, it'll last.

Co-sign re: Red Wing. I have a badass pair of boots that are pretty rugged and look awesome too.
October 14th, 2016 at 6:55 PM ^
I had a pair of red wing steel toes for work and was extremely disappointed. great comfort, but only lasted about 7 months. not nearly the quality I expected.
October 15th, 2016 at 1:19 PM ^
...are okay. Danner boots are hands down the best boots I've ever owned. I've had my current pair for about 15 years and they are as solid as the day they were bought. I also have a pair of Irish Setter hunting boots and highly recommend.
As far as DTC goes, buy Carhartt. Half the cost and more comfortable and durable.

fourth sign. Good shit

Carhartt: Michigan company and works with UM AD. Sponsored Signing of the Stars. Great clothes. Also lots of local philanthropy.

I really recommend their man-thongs. They don't pinch and bind like other man-thongs.
October 14th, 2016 at 6:57 PM ^
why a man thong? I recommend wearing women's thongs

I laugh when i see the commercial for the Mens "Ballroom" jeans .

No pinch. No stink. No sweat.

They have funny and unique commercials therefore it is something you should buy.

My firehose pants are great on the farm - resistant to all manner of muck.
October 14th, 2016 at 7:20 PM ^
My wife bought me the flex ones and i wear the hell out of them. They fade a little but construction is great.
October 14th, 2016 at 6:01 PM ^
Fun fact: It is not located in Duluth, MN
October 14th, 2016 at 6:06 PM ^
let other people tell you they're fun.
October 14th, 2016 at 6:10 PM ^
It started here and they do have a store downtown. Good products; a bit pricier than what I typically spring for.
October 14th, 2016 at 8:57 PM ^
I was disappointed when I found out that their stuff isn't made in the states. I bought my dad a few heavy flannel shirts and assumed they were made locally. I thought wrong. He does like them though.

I could wreck a pair. Guaranteed.
October 14th, 2016 at 6:12 PM ^
Get you some of those brown Dickies pants. They last forever. They aren't really pants. Its like a canvas tarp made into pants.
October 14th, 2016 at 9:58 PM ^
Carharts FTW. Canvas or denim.
October 14th, 2016 at 6:09 PM ^

Hat: too big
Underwear: Good, but doesn't compare to Exofficio for a similar price.
Fleece hoodie jacket: Very nice cut & features, very warm. Has some fleece quality concerns as it becoming very nappy at the cuffs.
Flannel shirts: good colors, good fit, seem to be holding up to harsh wear.
October 14th, 2016 at 6:20 PM ^
Get some khakis.
October 14th, 2016 at 6:26 PM ^
Those firehose pants pretty much qualify, if acquired in the right color.
October 14th, 2016 at 6:28 PM ^
I've been thinking about buying their boxer briefs, I need room down there for comfort.
October 14th, 2016 at 6:41 PM ^
I bought three pairs two weeks ago and they are fabulous! They never ride up and the long legs are indeed as long as advertised. When wearing them with basketball or running sorts, it honestly feels like you're wearing nothing. Money well spent if you ask me.
October 14th, 2016 at 6:44 PM ^
I should also add that I have Exofficio boxer briefs as well and they just don't compare. they ride up and are not as well made. I will say that I can wear both for multiple days without any odor. they both pass that test.
October 14th, 2016 at 7:24 PM ^
thank you for that info, are their sizes accurate/true?
October 14th, 2016 at 7:33 PM ^
They certainly are.
