Bye Week Viewing: Reliving the Harbaugh Journey
I found a semi-doc about IT'S HAPPENING. It's 90 minutes long, and it's a collection of newsclips from the end of the Hoke/Brandon era through the hiring. I'm sure I'm not the only one who may have missed this in the past...and for anyone wanting to kill 90 minutes of time.
It's quite entertaining though hearing all the NFL talking heads (and Jemele Hill) swear up and down, he would never go back to college.

Good find thank you
EDIT: I also want to nominate Charlie Weis & Dave Brandon as the con men of the 21st century. How these guys got paid more than tree fitty to do ANYTHING is one of the great mysteries of the universe. How does a petty, thin skinned guy like this get put into a position of prominence?

Did Jemele Hill ever shine all of Michael Smith's shoes? Hope they replayed that over and over again for her.

Here is the clip.

Haha yes I see now that I've gotten deeper into this video. She should have to do it again after being so cocky about not worrying about him and that MSU will stay just as good.

of most sparty fans. Although in this neck of the woods there are more ND fans than anything else, a sizable # of Staee fans have come out of the woodwork over the last half-dozen years, and the vast majority of them spew the same nonsense that we hear from Hill. Even long-term sparty devotees like 'Joe', who's been a friend of mine for over 40 years, claim no fear of (as 'Joe' calls our coach) "Har-bought".
Their reign, despite all the denial, is about to end.

One of my friends and fellow season ticket holders (who is on this board) admitted that he watches this regularly.

Cool story, bro.

I just left it on in the background to listen to while at work, made for a nice day.

I am sorry to the few reporters out there who are not idiots, because most of your fellow reporters are. They were soooo convinced!!!!

JMFH for saying yes. Was watching this and reminded of who else was reported they were looking at: Schiano, Miles, Dan Mullen, Pat Narduzzi. My lord that is a depth chart that falls off quickly.

Reliving this with the knowledge of where we are now is absolutely wonderful.

...but my point total (or complete lack thereof) won't allow me.
At any rate, a similar thing you can do on the off-week is look back at the MgoBlog posts back then. To do so:
1. In the site search bar in the top right, type in "2014 coaching fiasco"
2. Pick any post, then click on the "2014 coaching fiasco" tag at the top of the post. This will give you all post related to topic, including all Searchbits
3. Click on the first page to be sure you are starting from the beginning. Read everyone of them in order. Its awesome!
It starts right around the Minnesota game where Hoke wasn't fully aware. It was at this point Brian (and probably most of us) realized Hoke wasn't going to make to next season.
The most interesting (and entertaining) aspect of reading all those posts is watching the arc from "Harbaugh is a pipe dream" to "It's Happening!" to "It Happened!". Truly entertaining!

Thx for the suggestion WCB.
I upvoted you...thought I would help you dig yourself out of that little hole you're in.

Thank you my friend
Anything helps. At this rate, I should be out of the hole in about 1000 years.
October 14th, 2016 at 2:29 AM ^
Pray tell, what did you do to go nearly a million points in the hole?

Oakland is still in play.

is how disconnected an otherwise very connected Adam Schefter was throughout the entire Jim Harbaugh situation, especially in spite of his U of M ties.

I remember exactly where I was when I found out that Dave Brandon "resigned"...in the car driving from Atlanta to Jacksonville for the GA/FL game with a friend who is a huge GA fan..at that moment I looked to him and I said "we're gonna get Harbaugh"...it was just something I felt to be true.
As they say, the rest is history

This is a great watch. Really shows how little these talking heads actually know. In a way I'm jealous, they are famous to just spouting off nonsense.
