OT: Parking at Ohio Stadium

Submitted by jman077 on

I'm going to Columbus for the first time this year and I was wondering if there are any places to park where your car is guaranteed not to get messed with. Is this even really that big of a concern? I do drive a car that makes it very clear I am a Michigan fan (even if I took off my UofM bumper sticker I'd still have one of those little great lakes ones, a Detroit Zoo membership, Michigan plates, and its an electric blue Ford), and am a little worried based on what everyone tells me about being in Ohio. Are there any parking spots where people have had good experiences? I've thought about renting but that seems like a hassle. I'd be willing to pay a fair amount of money to know my car will be safe. Thanks!

which 11 are the warriors amongst them while we're down there for The Game? Or do we assume none of them are until we see proof otherwise? BTW, it's kinda strange posting after getting here through the link on their website.

is a large lot around the Biological Sciences building.  I believe there is even a shuttle bus from there.  I've walked it and its not a bad walk, no worse that walking from from Farm Lane at MSU.  You'll get shit afterward because they're a holes, but the biggest benefit of parking out there is you're away from the student crowd and most of the raucus tailgating.  You can wind your way through Upper Arlington to miss the big traffic mess on 315 after the game.

Entertain yourself---take a bunch of michigan magnets with you....walk around the parking lots and take note of everyone with their vehicles that say something negative to you and circle back around later and place one of your magnets on said car....and snicker about what may happen because of your generosity.

The reality is, it is simply not that bad there anymore. But, as I always say, even if only 1% of people around are assholes, it's not that hard to bump into a couple.

I live about an hour and 40 minutes south of Cbus. you guys are more than welcome to park in my yard if it makes you feel better, Walk might be long but no one down here will bother it lol. hell, I will even give you ohio plates for the day if you bring me a few beers and a t-shirt.

Follow this one simple rule and you will be fine in Columbus.

- Treat OSU fans as your drill sargeant and you are a private in basic training.

    - That is, keep your mouth's shut, eyes forward and do not speak unless spoken to and there will be no issues.

Clearly you are not invited or welcomed to the game in Columbus.... there will be no banner that says "Welcome Wolverine Fans" so I cannot fathom why you think the experience will be pleasent?  I have no desire to go to the big house because I'm not welcomed.... just like i would never crash a wedding nor a red necks camp fire... it's uncomfortable.  But if you insist that you are going because you think this is the year that you dance in the streets of columbus over win go for it... it will be really ugly.  Bottom line.
