Final Day Of The Regular Season Open Thread

Submitted by jamiemac on

It's the last day of the regular season. I know its not as exciting as we'd hoped, but if anyone wants to chat about college hoops, be it Michigan or anything else going on in an insane week of action fire away. let's rap.

And, if you think I started this thread to pimp my own blog where we have posts today on the tournament bubble and watching my addiction ascend to new heights (we're thinking positively here), well, maybe you're right.

But I'd like to talk college hoops as well.

Champagne is said to be reserved for celebration
Mimosas apparently are reserved for getting plastered on the couch in your pajamas while UM puts up 14 pts in the first half

on the upside, this win will mean the world to so many MSU fans who will then have absolutely no idea why they are considered Little Brother.

i was referring exclusively to the LOL wolverines meme potential

for MSU fans to brag about locking up a share of the Big Ten title would be a joke considering how much they have ripped on teams like Wisconsin and Purdue for sharing consistently and not winning outright. of course when they sneak in the backdoor to one, it will become epic but, you know, whatever.

I can only hope and pray that the football team kicks the shit out of sparty next year, because it doesn't look like the basketball team will be doing it any time soon. Amaker's teams were more competitive than this.

She doesn't follow sports, and leaves me alone when I watch Michigan games. She grew up in Detroit watching the Fab 5, and is really embarrassed by the score. When she said "At least you still have hockey", I had to tell her about that too. That made her sad and angry. She looked at the score disgustedly (44-14), and asked me if "everyone caught the suckage from John navarre."

So this basketball season is my third red badge of courage, along with the last two years of football. When we're back to the top in either sport I'm going to have a hard time tolerating the fans that start trickling back.

the announcer would know the name of the best player on the team kicking our ass by 30 and reigning big ten player of the year. Calvin Lucas? Seriously?

Sorry I'm just in a pissy mood
