Perhaps it should, but if it was not included among the Snowflake threads, you would very likely get a lot of emo threads about this very subject all night, so try to look at it that way.

Also, yeah, this is where the focus needs to be because you can't leave FGs on the field like that in a game like this, and chances are we have a couple such games.

Bad day for Kenny Allen kicking FGs, but good job punting. In the end he should remember that everyone makes mistakes, but it's how you respond to mistakes that defines your character.

So the kicking game was not good. Have to wonder if Kenny Allen isn't 100%. Guy was automatic from inside 40 last year. Regardless this needs to be fixed.

150 yards for Wisconsin, our running game at least working them a little--would have felt fantastic to all of us. Speight remains a bit of an unknown quantify, but everywhere else (except FGs) we are rock solid. We've got a couple of games to pull those things together.

I'm terrified of OSU, but increasingly feel we may be facing them undefeated.

The ref had a pretty conservative reading of who was on the line. Most times you're allowed to stagger off the line quite a bit before they consider you in the back field. On another one I did see our gunner was running laterally, too close to the LOS, at the snap.

The one thing I keep coming back to is a quote from Bo from the 1988 Michigan Replay season VHS highlight tape. Mike Gillette had taken over all of the kicking duties after Monty Robbins graduated, and Bo said something like "we thought there'd be a drop-off, and there was." When you've got a guy doing everything, he's not going to do everything as well as he could if he was just doing one or the other.

Allen is booming kickoffs. He had a fantastic punt before the penalty and the one that got shanked. His placekicking is completely off-kilter. When there's problems and you drop in a guy who's never kicked in a game before, he's going to fuck it up. And he did.

So... Snowflakes galore.

The kickers need to practice kicking FGs in their sleep, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  This is bringing back old memories of terrible kickers in recent history.
