Curse,
but...
WTF Allen? Get your MFing $hit together and F'ing do what you did last year.
We kicked the $hit out of them the whole game and should have won at a minimum of 20-7
Most ridiculously frustrating butt (no pun intended) kicking I have watched in awhile.

This thread should die
October 1st, 2016 at 7:09 PM ^
Perhaps it should, but if it was not included among the Snowflake threads, you would very likely get a lot of emo threads about this very subject all night, so try to look at it that way.
Also, yeah, this is where the focus needs to be because you can't leave FGs on the field like that in a game like this, and chances are we have a couple such games.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:05 PM ^
Shades of those RichRod teams that needed to go for every fourth down.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:06 PM ^
Bad day for Kenny Allen kicking FGs, but good job punting. In the end he should remember that everyone makes mistakes, but it's how you respond to mistakes that defines your character.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:43 PM ^
The punting was big. How many punts pinned Wisco inside the 10? It seemed like a bunch. In a game like this that can make a big difference. Doesn't really make up for the FGs, but at least ameliorates it a bit.

He was terrible kicking vs Colorado too. I don't know what's going on with him but he's got the yips. He was money last year and now he's shanking kicks from the 21.
October 3rd, 2016 at 7:31 PM ^
...but it's certainly consistent with the observed symptoms. Rick Ankiel's outfield throws were money, it was only from the mound that he couldn't throw accurately.

Wait.
We have failed to cover two spreads because of our kicking game. That makes me sad

I bet Peppers would kick ass kicking field goals, and punting, and maybe kickoff!
October 1st, 2016 at 7:07 PM ^
It could cost us later in the season.
Great game and win.

One of the most memorable names from the Bo years.

I remember him well. Actually, my earliest Michigan football is the controversial Mike Lantry miss.

it seemed like he was the kicker for about 8 years. I remember one kickoff that nearly went through the uprights.

Ali Haji Sheik was in the stands today and I watched the game with his son. I'm sure it was painful for the whole family.

So the kicking game was not good. Have to wonder if Kenny Allen isn't 100%. Guy was automatic from inside 40 last year. Regardless this needs to be fixed.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:31 PM ^
Wonder if j Baxter had something to do w that last year
October 1st, 2016 at 7:14 PM ^
and the missed field goals were troubling, but Kenny Allen did a great joob on punting and kickoffs.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:16 PM ^
Yeah. It's weird that he was spooked on FGs, but everything else was good.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:14 PM ^
ummm...eek. that is all
October 1st, 2016 at 8:30 PM ^
150 yards for Wisconsin, our running game at least working them a little--would have felt fantastic to all of us. Speight remains a bit of an unknown quantify, but everywhere else (except FGs) we are rock solid. We've got a couple of games to pull those things together.
I'm terrified of OSU, but increasingly feel we may be facing them undefeated.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:14 PM ^
How about just make a fucking field goal? kthx.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:16 PM ^
Give Tice and Nordin more practice and try to have one of them take over that role. It would be good to have separate kickers for punts and field goals.
October 1st, 2016 at 10:29 PM ^
Is battling some injury that may take awhile to get past.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:18 PM ^
What was causing all the penalties on our punts? Anyone have any insight on that?
October 1st, 2016 at 9:42 PM ^
The ref had a pretty conservative reading of who was on the line. Most times you're allowed to stagger off the line quite a bit before they consider you in the back field. On another one I did see our gunner was running laterally, too close to the LOS, at the snap.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:18 PM ^
Partridge has work to do. Brutal performance other than the punting
October 1st, 2016 at 7:18 PM ^
Is Nordin hurt? Does anyone know?

He's been hurt for weeks. Entire game, "where's Nordin?" Dude didn't even dress. Come on now.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:19 PM ^
The one thing I keep coming back to is a quote from Bo from the 1988 Michigan Replay season VHS highlight tape. Mike Gillette had taken over all of the kicking duties after Monty Robbins graduated, and Bo said something like "we thought there'd be a drop-off, and there was." When you've got a guy doing everything, he's not going to do everything as well as he could if he was just doing one or the other.
Allen is booming kickoffs. He had a fantastic punt before the penalty and the one that got shanked. His placekicking is completely off-kilter. When there's problems and you drop in a guy who's never kicked in a game before, he's going to fuck it up. And he did.
So... Snowflakes galore.

The kickers need to practice kicking FGs in their sleep, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is bringing back old memories of terrible kickers in recent history.
October 1st, 2016 at 7:27 PM ^
Going to cost us a game this year.
October 1st, 2016 at 8:24 PM ^
Hopefully it's not THE GAME because that's the only other game I see being competitive this year. The kickers need to get straightened out.
