TomVH: Plant OL Offered

Submitted by TomVH on

OL Tony Posada from Plant High School told me he was offered by Michigan about a month ago. He's under the radar, but he's 6'5 and around 290 pounds. There's not a lot of info about Posada, but I think more and more schools are going to start offering.

He's #75, if you want to watch their team highlight films.

He told me he will be visiting either in the spring or summer, and that Michigan is in his top three.

He claims offers from USF, Wake Forest, Ohio, Kansas, Rutgers, Missouri, and Louisville. He said that Ohio State, Tennessee, Purdue, LSU, Kentucky and some others that are talking to him.

The title made me think they extended an offer to an OL who is actually a plant instead of a person. The reality is still pretty awesome, but I was starting to get excited at the prospect of an OL who could actually put down roots.

Sounds good, and looks like he has a decent offer list starting which will only grow. Never a bad thing to be in on these players early.

Also, I was wondering if anyone knew if any of the other in-state OL guys would be offered? I see Schlacter has MSU and Wisconsin offers, and scout has Willie Beavers as a 3* without any offers. With our glaring need on the line does anyone think these guys will get offers?

Rod & Co must have planned on taking the biggest class ever last year. The only way to justify the fully automatic scholarship slinger we saw on display. Agreed. This years pace should slow, especially with possible scholarship cuts looming.

I haven't heard anything this outrageous since a really solid wr was offered that people hadn't heard of yet! My outrage level is off the charts, and will remain there until further info comes out proving that I'm an idiot for getting outraged over offers to kids I know nothing about. I stubbornly maintain that we should ONLY offer to kids currently holding offers from UF, FSU, LSU, tOSU, ND, USC, and/or OK.
