Wisconsin Kicker Rafael Gaglianone out for year?
http://buckyville.yuku.com/topic/87672/Hearing-Gags-done-for-season
Saw this while perusing a Badger board. Bulging disc that will require surgery. He missed last game and Wisconsin didn't attempt any field goals because of that.

I think their backup kicker made a field goal last week
September 29th, 2016 at 12:46 AM ^
He missed an extra point though.
September 29th, 2016 at 8:54 AM ^
They'll just take a few penalties on the PATs until the kicker's in his comfort zone.
/ small sample sizes are fun

I keep waiting for it to move.

those crazy eyes

The game announcers are feeling relieved. That name could have been a tongue twister.
The parents were spared. "My son isn't playing today because his ... well ... his THING was bulging and the medical staff was unable to shrink it before the game started."
Me, I'm okay with his absence.

Awkward.

"Buckaroo"
And then mock him for playing poorly.

You're right! I was working on that name just yesterday.
Wasted effort, I guess.

Please do this for every post.
Or someone needs to make a bot do to it.

Gene Simmons just not quite as ugly. Happy Halloween.

It's weird how offensive this would be today. The country has changed a lot in 20-ish years.
September 29th, 2016 at 8:15 AM ^
some still await the memo.

I.e., to +1 "hustings" used on a sports blog message board. No politics, and whatnot, but still - hats off for this deployment!

1. That was great. Upvote for you. I miss funny Adam Sandler.
2. Do you see any irony at all in this post? Last week you were apoplectic over me saying I wasnt sad that one of the PSU LBs wouldnt be playing because he was injured and this week you make a joke (a funny one I might add) over a Wisconsin player being out.
September 29th, 2016 at 9:58 AM ^
The joke isn't about the kid being hurt--it's about his pretty amazing name. And it does not celebrate his injury--it's always a bad thing when a player gets hurt.
Your glee over the injury of a Penn State player was in the context of your inability to see past the Jerry Sandusky scandal. You called him a "miserable fuck" and said that he may be a great kid, but you're glad he's out.
So, yes, there's a difference.

Things change very quikly on this board which keeps it interesting.
At the beginning of the Hoke's last seaon I made a joke about him not being of the highest mental capacity and got blasted for it.
6 weeks later I made a very similar joke and was upvoted like crazy.

on this thread, too. Soon after the OP posted it just after midnight, it veered WAAAAY off course.
A mom got up early and did some serious cleanup by morning, though.
THANKS, MOM !!!

Gonna be lots of opportunities for 4th down stops for our D!

Real recognize Real... I don't know what J. Peppers is doing for Jourdan but it better be punitive.
September 29th, 2016 at 6:04 AM ^
If I was Wisconsin, I wouldn't be worried as long as the punter is healthy. Chances are they're not going to get many chances to kick FGs or extra points this Saturday.
September 29th, 2016 at 6:08 AM ^
Ummm, Wisconsin did in fact attempt a field goal vs MSU.
Endicott attempted 1 field goal from 41 yards and made it. He was 3 of 4 on extra points.
September 29th, 2016 at 6:42 AM ^
I remember one of their defensive players (Musso, the one with the scoop and score) was injured in the second half. Any word about him? I looked yesterday but could not find anything.
September 29th, 2016 at 7:24 AM ^
Pretty sure he returned to the game.
September 29th, 2016 at 6:56 AM ^
We just had someone at work come back from treatment for a bulging disk which required a laminotomy, so they can definitely be inconveniencing and painful. Hopefully, he can eventually find his way back to the field, and this sort of answers the question I had in their game last week as to why they never kicked a field goal.
September 29th, 2016 at 7:51 AM ^
They're frequently done out patient now and through a minimal incision. I would imagine recovery would be good for him.
September 29th, 2016 at 7:21 AM ^
As long as his replacement doesn't double as a 275# NT that Tee's off on our All-Americans in kick return I'm good with this....
I mean, I wish the lad wasn't injured at all....but, ya know...it sounds like a little surgery and he'll be back just as strong for next year!

"back just as strong"... I see what you did there!
September 29th, 2016 at 7:47 AM ^
In what may end up being a real sloppy game, could turn out being a great advantage to Mich. Although our FG kicking hasnt been great either. Speedy recovery to the young man!
September 29th, 2016 at 9:07 AM ^
a freshman as well?
I expect us to put extreme pressure on their kicking game.
I also expect Jabrill to have another big day on Special teams as well.
September 29th, 2016 at 9:17 AM ^
That Bucky board is an entertaining read...they play the disrepekt card as hard as sharty. So funny how they think they dominated MSU last week vs state handing them the game with 4(basically 5) turnovers/short fields and they still were out gained by state.
September 29th, 2016 at 9:35 AM ^
Dear Wisconsin,
May your kicker recover quickly...and all of your fourth down attempts be stuffed at the line.
September 29th, 2016 at 9:56 AM ^
Well then, expect for them be a lot more gutsy in fourth down situations.
The defensive line had better be ready.

With the forecast looking as it does now, turnovers and kicking game could play a big role imo.

I'm going to say it doesn't matter: field goals weren't going to get it done for them anyway.
September 29th, 2016 at 10:14 AM ^
Might have kept them from getting a donut
September 29th, 2016 at 10:24 AM ^
Well the backup kicker missed a PAT against MSU last week, so it could matter even if Wisconsin finds the end zone.
September 29th, 2016 at 12:53 PM ^
which is more than kenny allen can say.
September 29th, 2016 at 11:12 AM ^
It would mean being down 14-6 vs 14-0 after the 1st quarter depending on how much weather impacts the throwing game
