Any records set yesterday?

4 runners each over 50 yards?

I'm sure that's happened before. Think about Bo's teams that put up 50-60 on the tomato cans they faced while running the ball all day.
We have however set a record for most points scored in our first four games (208), apparently.

5 different players with rushing TDs?

So far.

JF is 0-18 vs teams which finished the season ranked. He also has never beaten an FBS team which had more than 8 wins. Those are sorta like records. I can see why Penn Live writers would clearly think he's superior to Harbaugh.
Also we reclaimed winningest program.

Most people just don't realize how difficult that is. It's proof that he's an elite coach and also a God.

Replace "realize" with "care" and you've got yourself a winner!!

And he's making $4.5 million a year. He must have Charlie Weis's agent.
September 25th, 2016 at 1:21 PM ^
You can't fault a guy for that.
The amount of money that Weis bilked from Notre Dame, and the amount of money that Franklin is billing from Penn State...kind of make them my heroes...
September 25th, 2016 at 2:46 PM ^
You only have to fault the PSU administration. But to be fair to them, look at their judgement in everything they do. They just can't help themselves.
September 25th, 2016 at 3:46 PM ^
Didn't he also embezzle at Kansas?
September 25th, 2016 at 12:35 PM ^
I'm thinking there has to be some conference-opponent records set at least. But haven't seen anything yet.
September 25th, 2016 at 12:35 PM ^
The TFL's and sacks are pretty darn good, but undoubtedly not the best in Michigan Football History. We went an entire year without letting up a single point under Yost. I'm pretty sure there were games that year that made this game actually look like a competetive football game
September 25th, 2016 at 12:38 PM ^
Fair enough, but what about modern era? Gotta be something there.

Saltiness of Penn State fans has reached an all time high. A few of them went wading in the Huron River after the game and we're now forced to reclassify it as a brackish estuary.
September 25th, 2016 at 12:39 PM ^
+1 for brackish estuary

using multiple runners at Michigan. Too many years of running the ball and running up scores before scholarship limits. Passing records are easier.

I wonder how many times we have kept B1G teams under 200 yards of offense.
I think we did against Northwestern last year and maybe Maryland as well.
September 25th, 2016 at 1:49 PM ^
I just saw this stat yesterday. It wasn't B1G specific, but IIRC it said Michigan has held its opponent under 200 yards 5 times since Harbaugh took over.

Consecutive games 45 points or more perhaps? If I recall, last week or had not happened since the very early 1900s, so maybe?

Never mind. Still the 1903 and 1902 teams. That'll be a virtually impossible record to surpass. Wow. 7 straight...

five 40+ point scored games since 1946-1947.
September 25th, 2016 at 1:03 PM ^

Not consecutive. In a season yes.

It was consecutive. Last game of 1946 through fourth game of 1947.
September 25th, 2016 at 2:51 PM ^
I don't believe they measure records like this that way since they are different teams. I don't disagree with you, but that's not how they do it (or they would have cited that team last week, rather than going back to 1903).

Stolen for ESPN
The Wolverines routed Penn State 49-10 -- for their fourth straight game with at least 45 points. It's the longest such stretch by a Big Ten team to start the season since Penn State in 2008.

Heard on the radio on the way home from the game last night that Peppers played 8 different positions in the game.
