It is nice to see that all the anger that surrounded Conways committ didn't sour him on the school, but instead gave him the desire to prove everyone wrong on the field.

I am liking this kid more each time I hear something new about him.

There was no reason not to like Conway in the first place. He's tall and has good hands and can jump and even though he's not a blazer, he has pretty good speed. I really don't understand the brouhaha about him, except for the fact that he was under the radar.

I don't understand being down on any recruit before the rankings even come out. Any rankings now are majorly speculative based on Sophmore and Junior performance, and before many of the major camps.

If RR ends up with a class full of 2 stars, then you can start bitching.

The coaches see these guys and evaluate first-hand. Most only know what they read then believe everything. I think people should hold judgement till the player actually gets on campus, has time to develop, then sees the field.

I'll add that in the case of Conway we've got at least 15 months until he's on campus, another 15 months while he redshirts (my assumption, given the existing depth) and then -- MAYBE -- we'll see him in the fall of 2012. That's a full 2.5 years from now, waiting for a CHILD who's drawn a huge amount of fire on this site to merely grow up.

I thought that RR only recruits offensive skill-players who are 5'10" or shorter. How on earth did this Conway guy manage to get an offer? Clearly he's not short enough! They must have a plan to move him to o-line or something to give them more size up there. At least that's what some MSU fan told me.
