They haven't played a road game at all yet. Are you insinuating that a team can play a road game at home? What is the distinction between a regular road game and a true road game?

LSU didn't play a true road game at Lambeau although it was pretty damn close.
Alabama didn't play a true road game at Jerry World against USC.

I would say that it was a true road game for LSU, but not for Wisconsin. LSU had to travel a significant distance and faced a hostile crowd of locals. Lambeau wasn't a "true road game" for Wisconsin, even though it was off campus because the locals were Wisconsin partisans and the travel distance was minimal.

UCF just lost to Maryland in double OT and we beat UCF by 37 points. Now I am not saying Maryland is a great team, but I think UCF will be decent this year.
Colorado looked like a team that should win 8-9 games this year, if their QB is healthy.
We beat Hawaii by 60 points, and Cal (who just beat Texas) only beat them by 20 and Arizona only beat them by 19.

None of those teams you mentioned, outside of Texas, are a top 25 team. And Texas is borderline after their loss to Cal. Comparing what Michigan did against some terrible teams to what other terrible teams did, doesn't relaly help make a case for top 5.

Me thinks you are an idiot if you think colorado is half as talented as oklahoma considering baker mayfield is just a better version of colorado's qb with better wr's, better rb's and a better offensive line.

The Big 12 is overrated every year. Oklahoma wasn't even that good last year, they got pummeled by Texas and completely exposed by Clemson without Shaq Lawson among other missing starters. Mayfield folds like a lawn chair every time he plays an above average defense. Luckily, he doesn't see many of those in the Big 12. Seriously, it's week 3 and the Big 12 has more or less already eliminated themselves from playoff contention.

I really wasn't trying to sound cool. The goal was to point out the hyperbolic OSU-homer statement that Oklahoma is a "Top 10 team." I'll bet the ranch I don't own that Oklahoma is not even a Top 20 team when the new polls are released. Would anyone be surprised if they are completely dropped from the Top 25?

a well-coached team with senior leadership on both sides of the ball. It's interesting how we fail to respect other teams' ability to play and compete, especially when they have a DC who worked under our coach and a team that had scored almost as many points and allowed fewer in its two previous games.
You play the teams on your schedule and you play them as they are and what they bring regardelss of expectations off the field and opinions of those who don't compete but pontificate about competition and acheivement level. Colorado had some competitve juice and Harbaugh praised the Buffalo effort after the game as did his players, as they justifiably should. They played the game, so they know.
When you rely on the past as your only indicator of ability, it certainly sobers you up when your inflated view of your own team or its ability to shutdown another's is grossly mistaken until each team finds itself and plays accordingly at its own level. Michigan should have won by more than the point spread, but how it won was a greater estatment to its play than its expected performance against an also-ran opponent, which gave it everything it could muster.
The Buffalo's had a good scheme. And their one corner took away Chesson the entire game. Not one catch. The other did a superb job on Darboh throughout the contest limiting him to a couple of receptions. The Wolverines made hay in the middle of the field, dragging Butt across the formation repeatedly as he got lost in the wash and caught in stride throws. They offset a loaded box and continual run blitzes which only slightly hampered the run game overall, because Michign was able to exploit the perimeter and slow linebacker play on their tight ends and slot backs. Even so, Deveon Smith and Isacc both had nice running TDs. It's about scoring, not piling up yardage. One signals victory, the other is only an indicator of certain performance.

Colorado - aside from its special teams that seemed RR/Hoke-esque - looked like a solid team to me. If their QB is healthy enough to return to the lineup, I would expect them to make a bowl, at the least. I don't know exactly where their talent level is, but they seemed pretty well-schooled on both sides of the ball. I didn't see too many missed assignments by their guys. They certainly gameplanned well for our blitzes, continually finding the hot receiver, until our DL wore down their OL and their QB took a beating.
I don't really know where to evaluate us at the moment. We've got a few areas to shore up and certainly could use the return of a few guys (especially Jourdan Lewis). But you can say this about so many teams right now. Under Harbaugh we've gotten back to receiving the benefit of the doubt from the voters and that's a very good thing.

They nearly Spartied away a 29-point lead to Notre Dame.
Notre Dame is coached by Brian Kelly and is not good. As proof, I give you Texas, who tied them in regulation and beat them in overtime.
The same Texas team who lost 50-43 at California last night.
All MSU proved last night is that ND is still trading upon its name and reputation more than its talent level.

They lost to Texas who gave up 50 points against Cal last night. The same Cal team that gave up 31 points to Hawaii.
I also wouldn't put too much stock into our game yesterday. Jim Leavitt knows Harbaugh very well (from his days in SF) and probably had this game circled on his calendar. If anyone can slow down a Harbaugh offense, it would be the guy that practiced against it on a daily basis.
