Advice on parking at driving range (not golf course)?

Submitted by Bleedin9Blue on

So I'm not usually one to tailgate, but this week for Colorado my brother-in-law has decided to change up the usual schedule.  Thus, we're going to the driving range (not the golf course) to do some tailgating.  I'm looking for any advice that people have for the driving range - specifically when we'd actually need to arrive in order to ensure ourselves a decent spot.

It opens at 7:00 but I don't know when people will actually start arriving considering it's a 3:30 game.

I'm used to walking around the areas east of the stadium so I'm not even sure how filled up the driving range gets or what the atmosphere is like.  We'll have the grill going along with a TV for the noon games but other than that it'll be fairly low-key for us.  So, even if you've got no advice, feel free to tell me what the driving range either sucks or is awesome.

Thanks for the input.

It's been a few years since I've parked at the driving range, but it's typically pretty easy to get a spot without getting there early, and it's small enough that there isn't a huge difference in spots.

I used to park next to the range on the street it was free. Idk if people still tailgate there for free. I'd use the driving range port a potty. if I went to more games I wouldn't give this secret away.

that if you park there you cannot get onto Main Street South after the game, you are filtered back to Eisenhower Pkwy through the Mall to State and it takes FOREVER.

This was an OSU game but personally I will never park there again.

Perhaps this was a one off experience but getting onto Main was barricaded at all intersections.
