Fox rules guy saying refs screwed up letting CMU have that untimed down.  Reading from the rule book makes it plain that they did mess up.

Incredible play by Chips nonetheless.  You'll see that play over and over.

Awful, awful play calling by PSU. Have a timeout, a 1:40 left on the clock, and you throw up a 50:50 Hail Mary.

Franklin is on the hot seat now. It's going to be scalding after a beatdown in Ann Arbor in a few weeks.

Franklin screwed himself. They were in field goal range to tie it but threw a Hail Mary on a 2nd down with 1:19 to go. Just hilarious and sad all the same

Honestly there's a whole lot of nothing today.

There were some halfway decent noon match ups, but unless you want to watch two meh programs play a game at a coliseum for rednecks later tonight (UT vs Va Tech at Bristol), then the rest of the day's matchups are pretty bad, barring another major upset somewhere.

Iowa vs. Iowa State could be halfway decent tonight, though. That game has always been a close one in recent years.

These guys playing the read option have it all wrong. It always seems the first guy there just waits for the handoff or keep by Barrett to be made. Then ends up chasing the running back from behind or getting juked by Barrett. Fuck that. Go right after Barrett and make him hand it off every time. Lay a hit on him and punish him every damn play. Make Weber beat you. That's how you play football. As long as the play is live you are just taking on the blocker. If Barrett takes enough of them hits, he isn't the same player after a quarter or two.

Well if shit goes bad enough for PSU this year, could they potentially dump Franklin and make a run at Herman? They've got the money and resources for it.

Let's put it this way: in the universe where that scenario happens, then the Big Ten East would be an absolute bloodbath every year.
