Labor Day Posbang!

Submitted by WSU to Blue on

College football is back with a bang! Wasting little time to remind me why I love the sport so much.  With many of us having the day off, and with so many great events taking place over the weekend I figured now is as good a time as ever to have a feel-good POSBANG.

What was your most entertaining game of opening weekend?

I'm just happy we can expect our Wolverines to jump in the standings at the expense of #5 LSU (losing 16-13 to the Wisconsin Badgers), and #3 Oklahoma (losing 33-23 to Houston).  Many of us were watching Texas vs Notre Dame, and Clemson vs Auburn, which were both nailbiters as well.

What are you cooking/drinking?

We have the barbeque going today.  We're planning to cook up some burgers with some mac and cheese and some rolls on the side.  Not sure how well mac and burgers go together but I'm willing to find out.  I should also have a Two-Hearted Ale sitting no more than five feet away from me at any given time.

Did anybody do anything?

I know Labor Day weekend holds host to many parades and festivals.  Did anyone go check out Arts, Beats, and Eats? I know Joan Jett was amongst some of the performers.  When I was younger I used to perform at various Labor Day parades as well.  Always some fun to go around!

Hope you are all having a relaxing long weekend.  Stay safe and GO BLUE!

Here's hoping the Noles whip Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss and send them home with their tails between their legs. I'm all for an SEC-shaming encore this weekend!

I should have bought tickets for the Mich-Wisco game. Its like guessing the stock market and not many people thought they would have won. Ticket prices have gone up and it may be a 330 game time.

Not much. A pool party with friends and family. ND-Tex was my favorite game. Wiscy-LSU was ok and but the teams weren't good. Looking forward to FSU game today. Happy Labor day.

Probably not a good idea, since I'm not very handy at such things. Plus, I had a really deep sink installed a while ago, and a huge 1.1 hp garbage disposal hanging under it. More than likely will not be able to get under all of that, particularly with my female black lab, Boo, trying to also crawl in and see what's going on.

Not a good sign that I'm already thinking of which plumber to call when I give up on the project. Oh crap, I guess I'll go and give it a whirl.

had a great weekend in Duluth. Saw Glensheen mansion and did some hiking at Gooseberry Falls. Back to the Twin Cities after breakfast and looking forward to Ole Miss vs. FSU tonight.

and cheese kabobs for the game. I used garlic naan instead of pita bread. The whole family enjoyed it. So, I'm making again for the immediate family today and TAKING A BEER INDUCED NAPPY POO!

FYI - Harbaugh is delivering his weekly presser right now, live on BTN. I don't have DVR to provide a proper quote but when addressing Mone and Charlton his words, pauses, and tone seemed to point toward both eventually being back this season but very noncommittal as to when.
