Put a hundo on Clemson -8.5 vs Auburn. Basically just needed a rooting interest to keep me entertained. Also, I have zero faith in Auburn.
September 3rd, 2016 at 8:06 PM ^
I feel like they're always 3-9 or 11-1.
September 3rd, 2016 at 10:49 PM ^
Depending on how much they spend in the offseason.

Aerial shot of Kyle field shows the top of the north endzone with some seriously available seats. Like, even fewer people there than were sitting at the beginning of the game.
Not hard to know why if you've been to that area: It's in the sun. And it is scorching hot there at this time of year. Areas in the sun are just plain much less comfortable.
All that said: How do they expand like this and then not sell out for a huge game?
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:49 PM ^
I think whoever was in those seats moved locations.

September 3rd, 2016 at 8:03 PM ^
Wouldn't surprise me. Also, those are the seats most likely to be vacated by those who leave early, since UCLA wasn't competitive until late.
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:31 PM ^
LSU and Oklahoma losing, plus our big win means we are moving into the Top 5 right?
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:36 PM ^
One would think but we'll see. I think we'll be #5. Unless other top 5 teams lose as well, then we'll move up even more.

Good chance we'll be, but we may get leapfrogged if ND wins big tomorrow, or if Ole Miss beats FSU on Monday night. And who knows where Houston will end up. They looked damn impressive against Oklahoma.
We'll move up at least one spot. But then if Clemson somehow falls tonight too, then we're guaranteed to be in the top 5.

Michigan did nothing to get jumped. They thoroughly took care of business; granted the competition, but they beat a 40pt spread by 20. No way #10 or 11 jumps a top 10 team that did what they were supposed to and then some.
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:36 PM ^
Who cares
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:45 PM ^
We've been down for the better part of a decade. If we spend the entire season ranked in the top 5 that would go a long way towards changing any negative perceptions of the program nationally.
Also I want to be ranked #1 when we stomp the shit out of OSU in their own house.
September 3rd, 2016 at 8:29 PM ^
I care!

Gotta be TD in A&M\UCLA
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:38 PM ^
They made the right call. It probably should've been a TD, but once they said he was short, they couldn't reverse it. You just couldn't see whether he was down or not, and it has to be indisputable , which, by definition, it wasn't since you couldn't see for sure

It didn't matter anyway as UCLA can't defend the zone read and Mazzone, as their O-coordinator last year, knew that.

Twice in crunch time A&M has had impossible-to-tell borderline replays go against them that, if I had to guess, were probably wrong but not conclusively so.
And "ball don't lie" struck both times on the next play.
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:44 PM ^
there was no way to know if he was down or not.
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:47 PM ^
Right. I think he was in before his knee was down, but there is no way to know or even infer that from the information. His legs were totally obscured. If they had ruled it a TD, it would have stood easily.
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:42 PM ^
Michigan replay is on ESPN if you want to sip diet Coke waiting for the USC/Bama game :)
...but that's none of my business

oh my good lord it is! Screw USC vs Bama and rooting for the meteor!

And that's it. A&M holds on. Good game.
Football is awesome.
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:46 PM ^
Dude that was coaching malpractice in which A&M was saved from Sumlins terrible coaching by an insane D-Line and Jim Mora fully inheriting the title of worst head coach in football once Hoke got fired. No reason that should have gotten to overtime.

Perhaps. UCLA was pretty lucky to tie it up, too. Sometimes the bizarre and the lucky is enough to win.
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:51 PM ^
That's what I meant. A&M had it in hand and then screwed it up. Exciting ending but I don't really find derpfests all that compelling.

to watch these games after Michigan won its game big. It makes it a much nicer watch...
September 3rd, 2016 at 8:30 PM ^
I'm just happy watching these games after watching Michigan win a game where the OL didn't get destroyed by a school that shouldn't be able to do that, and hoping they can get it together before playing teams that are actually known for having guys who can play.
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:49 PM ^
SEC not looking so good this year. Hard to say you're a good conference when your teams lose to or barely beat the non-conference cupcakes they started the year against.
September 3rd, 2016 at 7:51 PM ^
North Carolina hopefully finds a way to hold onto this one - the SEC needs to take another lump or two today, I would think.
...and with that, UNC puts themselves up 23-14 pending the PAT and maybe a review on this play. Looks like he got there.
