MGoTattoos
I figured that since one of yesterday's board posts revealed we have some members of MGoBlog nation die-hard enough to name their kids after UofM, there has got to be a few members with Michigan tattoos out there. Does anyone have any UofM tattoo pics they want to share? I plan on getting a block M once I move back home, so I was just curious if anyone else has one.
Also, does anyone know of any badass tattoos that current Michigan atheletes have? I'm hoping that a beast like Martin might have something like "Product of Barwis Manufacturing" across his shoulders. Ok maybe that's a little cheesy, but Jake Long can't be the only one representing.

Do not have one yet, but I plan on getting one I am leaning towards either just a wolverine or the logo with the block M and wolverine from the 80’s. Can anyone recommend a tattoo shop; I live in ohio and really do not want to have it done in ohio

Not sure if that works for you geographically though, since I don't know what part of Ohio you'd be coming from.
they would likely use a dirty needle on purpose and you would end up with Hepatitus if you tried to get a UM tattoo in Ohio. Smart choice!

Lamarr Woodley probably has the best one out there as far as current/former players go. His entire right arm is covered with the X-Men version of a Wolverine.

is the man. That Tatoo is badass ( I grew up on X-men comics)

I know someone that has a Michigan helmet as a tattoo. I do not have any.

I have a beautiful Michigan half sleeve planned... now to find an employer in aerospace who wouldn't mind.
February 26th, 2010 at 11:50 PM ^
if they ask you about just say "I'm a rocket scientist with an edge". Problem solved.

shirts? Just gotta be sure to wear during interviews and such ... couldn't fire you for that, could they?

I wasn't cleared for my internship with [LARGE AERO CORPORATION REDACTED] last summer because I tested positive for Valium after getting my wisdom teeth removed, even though my dentist provided complete documentation. It was an IV, not even a prescription, so it's not like I was dosing up at home. They said the numbers "didn't add up."
Luckily I have a second chance this summer, but I'm just paranoid.

Since you are nervous about your next drug test already, the anxiety will only grow. I suggest you smoke a couple joints right before the next test just to relax a bit.
February 27th, 2010 at 1:31 PM ^
Just tell them you were getting as "high as the sky" so you can get a full grasp and appreciation of/on your work. You get a bonus for giving your interveiwer some.

I'm going to guess you were going defense related, and Lockheed is really bitchy about that sort of stuff.
First guess is right on, but apparently the bitchiness has spread beyond Lockheed.

Don't eat anything with poppy seeds before your test, either. Seriously.
I used to work for [LARGE AERO COMPANY REDACTED] ( OpSec - learn it , live it, love it ) and I think I was only tested once. But then I was only there 3 years before I couldn't take it and left for a small company back in Michigan.

Tattoos are for sailors and prostitutes.
February 27th, 2010 at 12:04 AM ^
is why they're totally rad, dude!

I once slept with a girl who had "The Big House" tattooed directly on her [REDACTED].
She might have been a fan.
February 27th, 2010 at 12:39 AM ^
I have definitely slept with tattooed chicks. As far as dating a girl though, they are a huge red flag. A tattoo is generally a good sign that you aren't the only one "up in there".
February 28th, 2010 at 9:03 PM ^
grrrr, i can't neg you enough.
... being above the age of oh, say x-teen is generally a good sign that "you aren't the only one 'up in there' ".
So what are you saying exactly... you sleep with tattooed chicks but only date virgins? Clearly an upstanding man of principles whose middle name isn't 'hypocrite'.
Sorry I'm late to this topic, but I'm about to deliver the first 'neg' I can recall.

Were you a small fish swimming in a big pond?

Was actually inspired by "The Flintstones" from the MSU basketball team with Mateen Cleaves, Morris Peterson, etc. They all had "FLINT" tattoos on their upper arms. I thought that was pretty cool, but I'm from Saginaw, not Flint, so I decided to get the Jackrabbit Beans sign, the most distinctive Saginaw image I could come up with, tattooed on my upper arm. People from Saginaw love it; nobody else gets it but whatever.
February 27th, 2010 at 7:55 AM ^
The most distinctive saginaw image i can come up with is lamarr woodley.
February 27th, 2010 at 12:46 PM ^
No arguing with that. However, in my defense I think I got the tattoo while Woodley was still in high school or maybe a freshman.
February 27th, 2010 at 2:44 PM ^
Sagnasty... That could be your next Tatoo.
February 27th, 2010 at 5:36 PM ^
Saginawesome. Maybe that's just what someone from Saginaw told me...
February 27th, 2010 at 8:59 AM ^
You should have just got "tha' nasty" tattooed on your arm.
Oh I miss my Sagnasty days

I am a triathlete, and plan on doing an Ironman soon, as soon as I figure my life out at least. IF I get one, I plan on getting a combination of the block M and the M dot.
February 27th, 2010 at 1:27 AM ^
I plan on working out more in the near future so I can have OMG SHIRTLESS tatted on my stomach.
February 27th, 2010 at 1:31 AM ^
I'm planning on getting the pose tatted on my arm eventually
February 27th, 2010 at 2:18 AM ^
you win
February 27th, 2010 at 7:28 AM ^
damn, not only does your tattoo tell me, but your shirt/hat/background says you are true blue. love it.
February 27th, 2010 at 1:47 PM ^
haha thanks. I'm really proud of it, can't count how many times I'd roll up my sleeve when I was out drinking in AA. It's a good thing I graduated too, might have looked a little silly if I failed out.
February 27th, 2010 at 12:56 PM ^
Um... Why is the first picture of a right arm and the second one a picture of a left arm?
Am I missing something here?
February 27th, 2010 at 1:25 PM ^
The second picture is him taking it himself in the mirror.
February 27th, 2010 at 1:48 PM ^
Yeah, it's on my right arm. Just the mirror playing tricks.

I wanted something besides just a solid color Block M. I had seen this design with the wings inside of the M elsewhere, and I knew when I finally decided to get a tattoo 2 years ago that that's what I wanted.
February 27th, 2010 at 9:34 AM ^
"mach42006;" enjoy your version of the Block M w/ wings; simple and sweet. I wonder if this design with a few simple mods would fall outside of the copyright lines so that underground printing could carry it. Six Zero are you out there today? What's your thoughts being our resident t-shirt designer, is this MGOstore worthy?
February 27th, 2010 at 3:40 PM ^
You have the block M and the wings......... combination or two ideas don't let it fly.
It is sweet though.

about how easy a girl is, it's where it is. If she has something right above the nana, or on the small of her back, then she's a freak. I guess there's a time and a place for that (college), but definitely not long term consideration...
I think the location tells you a lot about a girl, however I think the second one you mention doesn't tell you much. The first definitely say "I'm a freak" but the small of your back doesn't to me.
I find that other than the first one you mentioned, the girls that have the visible tattoos are of the more freakish variety. The ladies that get them so no one can see them are of the more modest type.
I should mention that this is simply based on my experience and in no way a "rule" so to speak.

michigan tat is going to be a block M on my shoulder... there is going to be a basketball, pair of hockey sticks and a football under it for all of the teams that won national championships in my life time... my wife has a small block M on the top of her foot... she went out and got it right after she wrote her last exam at michigan...
I have heard that he top of your foot is a painful spot for a tattoo. I have sleeves on each arm and few tattoos in other places, but never had any that actually hurt. Some people told me that the top of the foot is a sensative spot though.
i think she told me that since she got it put there she didn't get it made to big so it wouldn't hurt as much... its between the size of a loonie and a quarter...

This guy lives in Ohio, and is a Big Michigan Fan.
He's putting a Wolverine, standing on a Block M, with Brutus hanging out of his mouth, on my left calf

because I am of a slightly older generation, and do know that my tastes in music, art, philosophy, politics, etc., etc., etc. have changed over the years. Something I might have done in my 20's and 30's would have caused me great regret in my 40's. Plus I am not a big fan of needles. But if I HAD to get a tattoo, it would be something "M" related. btw- tattoo removal is a booming business.....
