and I wish it was celebrated or publicized more. The fact of the matter is that a high percentage of walk-ons wont have an NFL contract in their lifetime, and getting their school paid for is HUGE.

Is Wroblewski the LB in the spring game that Brian and Seth kept mentioning things along the lines of "if you can't sat anything nice, say nothing at all, so we're not going to talk about that play"? Might be time to review that for realz, given the talk about him. I know Moundros and all, but this staff doesn't seem to be the type to hype guys who won't play.

If Wroblewski has to play in crunch time, I'll be pretty concerned. He moved from DE, he's slow, and he was out of position in the spring.

Congratulations to him because he earned a scholarship, but Michigan needs other guys to step up at inside linebacker. I'm guessing that if Gedeon misses much time, we'll see McCray, Furbush, Bush, etc. get more playing time at MIKE rather than inserting Wroblewski full-time.

Myself hearing about guys earning scholarships is great. Paying for the privilege of working just as hard as the guys on scholarship without the playing time is either very admirable or insane. I believe the former of course.

Congrats toGarrett, Mike and AJ.

I doubt it. Plus, it's kind of a diss to take away a scholarship once it's handed out, so you would basically be hinting that he has a 4- or 5-year scholarship since he's only a freshman. I think it's more likely that Bobby Henderson, Ben Pliska, or Michael Jocz ends up with a scholarship.

As scholarships open up, Harbaugh is going to give them to the most deserving. Deserving may be based almost entirely on effort and the example they set for the more capable players.

Who cares if they don't see the field on Saturday if they make the guys that do work and play better?

most deserving, would be Ryan Glasgow and Kenny Allen, two starters. i understand no scholly for them yet. how the heck is that possible? is this the Glasgow's family's way of contributing, as they are well off? and what about allen? the kid a money kicker

I love the walk-on program that Harbaugh is developing. And as an aside I'm happy that the staff is able to make lemonade (3 walk-ons receiving scholarships) out of lemons (Mitchell/others suspensions/departures).

I remember ESPN did a piece a year or two ago where they showed teams suprising walk-ons with a scholarship offer.  Like watching Rudy in real life.  Great stuff.
