Why you should go to the Spring Practice

Submitted by Happyshooter on
Sitting here enjoying a Nemesis beer, sipping away and thinking. Everything I saw last year at the spring game was the season. Tate was good at everything but slightly spastic. DRob was good at running and that was about it. The line was okay but not great. We had problems covering. That, and the whole event was fun. The tailgates were fun. The crowd had fun. RichRod tried to reach out to the crowd during the student goal kick contest. The cheerleaders didn't show but the dance team did. Just a great time, and informative.

DRob didn't play in the spring game. Other than that I agree that it was pretty telling. Unfortunately Coner owning our defense should have been a sign of things to come.

I plan on going to my first spring game this year. What activities other than the game can I look forward to. I know there is tailgating, but does the University do any thing special for the fans?

I've always liked our dance team more than our cheerleaders anyway, so that wasn't a big loss for me. Anyway, back on topic, I agree that the spring game was fun and if you can go you should. But, I must ask why you're bringing this up now since it's 1.5 months away and most people that visit MGoBlog with any frequency will be going if at all possible.

I just made hotel reservations. After the game I will be pretending I am back in school and running the student spots. Maybe Arbor Brew and the new Tractor place, as well. I suspect Sunday morning my no longer young self will be at Northside or Broken Egg trying the grease cure.

I got to miss field goals in front of 50,000 people! But I got a bag, football, football helmet, and free books for a semester. It was worth the humiliation. I've wanted a Michigan helmet since I was 4. Dream come true.

without having to worry about multitudes of Buckeye fans continuously running up to him and yelling "F*CK MICHIGAN!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!" or purposely trying to hit him with a football. That will certainly not happen at the spring game.

Don't post much but that comment made me laugh. I was in Columbus for the last UM game their and those people are a different breed for sure. It's as if they all just got off the short bus, downed a case of Pabst and then immediately starting spelling OHIO at the top of their lungs. I often wonder who gets the extra chromosome that they are all missing?
