Radio broadcast delay question

for those of you that like to listen to the radio brodcast of the games, how do you get around the delay?  alot of the times i'd prefer to listen to Jim and Dan call the games but i have always found the radio brodcast to be on a delay. is there a way to get around this?  any and all information is appreciated.  thanks

I've dish with a DVR and the satillite is about 1.5 sec behind the over-the-air, local broadcasts.  I get the Brandstater/Dierdort broadcast via MGoBlue.com.  Depending on internet traffic jams, the broadcast is anywhere from 10-25sec behind dish.  So, I delay the satillite via the DVR and sync it to the broadcast...usually get it pretty close, to the point where the referee's calls are not outta whack.

Other than when I'm telephoning someone else watching the game and they start hooting, hollering and then say, "Did you see that?" the delay is no big deal.

If you actually listen to the radio broadcast, the delay can be 7-9 seconds from cable/dish so you'd be out of luck. Until I incorporated the dvr suggestion above while streaming the radio broadcast online a couple years back(this is as close as I've been able to get it), it was annoying AF. I still preferred that to the TV announcers though.

I would say that if you have the money and requisite ability to create a situation where you can physically slow down your time to match the radio broadcast, then this would be the preferred solution. After all, if you personally can exist independent of ou unidirectional and linear perception of time, why wouldn't you showcase this talent to make catching games more convenient?

Watching a game in person, you are out of luck.

Watching a game on TV that has DVR features - play the TV broadcast at a slight delay to match the radio broadcast - I've done it before and it works very well.

I'm sure I will hemorrhage votes but I cannot stand Jim, never have been able to, and never will. I like Dan, but I would rather listen to biased anti-Michigan commentators on TV then Jim.

For the first several years I had season tickets, sooooo many people brought radios to the games at Michigan Stadium and listened to his play-by-play that it was almost impossible to not hear old Ufe.  There was no radio delay---his radio broadcasts always matched up with the action on the field.

Record both.  Use a good editing software to sync the audio & video.  Edit out the commercials.  Send me the files.  I'll watch & enjoy.

Work well for synchronizing. Pause the DVR at the point of the kickoff and when you hear the crowd noise rise to when the ball is kicked, hit the play button. I've found that the two do get out of synch so you'll have to resynch from time to time.

I always remember Ufer honking his horn 30 seconds before the TV showed the TD. At lest I knew something good was about to occur. But Ufer was far superior than most of the announcer, though I did like Kieth Jackson.
