GO BLUE!I
included a couple early games for Hawaii, UCF and Colorado in case anyone wants to check out those teams before we play them. Also, September 17 looks like a great day to cancel everything and OD on some FOOTBAUGH. There will be schadenfreude o'plenty with OSU, MSU, ND and Oklahoma mixing it up on the gridiron. Feel free to add other games or make comment.

Clemson @ Auburn is a great opening weekend game. Would love to see Alabama @ USC instead of neutral site jerryworld.
August 20th, 2016 at 1:18 AM ^
Interested to see the AU/Clemson game and hate Jerryworld productions.
Also, not sure if the graphic appears to overlap with the sidebar for everyone else's view and, if so, how to repair. Maybe the Moms can lend a hand.

Lets look at what makes college football great.
Passionate local fans
Students
Unique campuses/cities
In most cases well over 100 years of varied traditions
What do they do?
move the venue to a faceless genera-dome
in some large city sourounded by 16 square miles of parking lot
set prices so that only semi-engaged corporate clients can afford the travel/room/tickets
pay the schools less than they would have made in a home & home arrangement
profit! I guess?

Maybe I'm the only one, but I don't see that being all that good of a game. Auburn wasn't very good last year, and I don't think they'll be very good this year either. Clemson's gonna end up winning that game by 14+ I think.
Auburn has no QB, their top 3 rushers and top 2 receivers from last year are gone. Carl Lawson is really fantastic on D, and Auburn could give Watson and company some trouble, but they don't really have the offensive firepower to test Clemson's almost brand new defense.
August 20th, 2016 at 5:42 AM ^
That is what it looks like on paper but the game is at Auburn so maybe they have some hope.
August 20th, 2016 at 7:54 AM ^
Auburn is a bit of a wild card at this point. Gus Malzahn has a pretty good offensive mind and is also good at developing quarterbacks for his system. He took former db Nick Marshall and made him a servicable qb. Auburn recruits well so there won't be a huge talent gap on the field. Just because they weren't very good last year does not mean they will suck again this year.
August 20th, 2016 at 8:42 AM ^
I'm with you. Auburn definitely has the Jimmy's and the Joe's to hang with Clemson, and I think that game will be within a touchdown deep into the fourth quarter. Also, it is so awesome to be talking about actual football matchups again.
August 20th, 2016 at 8:29 AM ^
A decent opener because of the location but far from the best.
I also expect Clemson to roll.
August 20th, 2016 at 1:14 AM ^
Oklahoma vs Ohio State is as close as it can get to a playoff game.
August 20th, 2016 at 1:19 AM ^
Wow there's a lot of potential for some top teams to cannibalize each other while we skip along to some 40 point wins. If Oklahoma wins I'll be happy with whatever else happens though.
August 20th, 2016 at 1:39 AM ^
Maybe not by 40, but it should give our new QB some time to gain valuable game experience before the meat of our schedule in October and November
August 20th, 2016 at 8:19 AM ^
Bah. No need for a qb to hang up 40. Wildcat, scoop and score, pick six, etc.
August 20th, 2016 at 10:16 AM ^
that the defense will score 20 pts a game all by themselves.
That should take the pressure off a new QB.
August 20th, 2016 at 1:22 AM ^
I'm also hoping for the LSU/Wisconsin game to be entertainig (it is @ Camp Randall), but I have a feeling LSU may clobber them.
August 20th, 2016 at 1:48 AM ^
It's actually at Lambeau, not Camp Randall, but hopefully the Wisconsin faithful give the SEC hell.
August 20th, 2016 at 2:04 AM ^
I forgot that the game was in GB, but I still don't think Wisconsin wins. Hope I'm wrong about that too.
August 20th, 2016 at 2:06 AM ^
LSU is going to the playoffs this year. Wisconsin hired a mediocre coach; Miles will be in the Hall of Fame.
August 20th, 2016 at 2:25 AM ^
Cam Cameron couldn't scheme his way out of a wet paper bag
August 20th, 2016 at 5:39 AM ^
Cameron is fine it's just that LSU has forgot to recruit a quarterback since their last national title

LSU has more than enough talent to make the playoff but their biggest question mark is at QB. Their QB play the last few years has been poor. If Brandon Harris can't improve greatly on last year this team isn't going anywhere.
August 20th, 2016 at 7:10 AM ^
Has no one else noticed the multiple injuries they have already, including an ankle sprain for Fournette? I doubt they will be enough to give Wisconsin they game but if they get any more or that ankle sprain lingers, LSU is going to have a really hard time making the playoff.

Also, who knows how much they're actually able to practice, and how well they're able to concentrate, with the horrible floods in Baton Rouge.

Game #1. Roll on you Bears!!! Beat Hawaii by 100.

Shouldn't we be hoping Hawaii miraculously goes 11-1 with one lopsided loss to Michigan? You never know how the rankings will play out, and we're already getting dinged for our weak OOC schedule.
August 20th, 2016 at 5:37 AM ^
How have we already been "dinged"?

August 20th, 2016 at 8:14 AM ^
Yeah it's way better for us if Hawaii wins that game. Then if Hawaii ends up going 7-5 with a key win then they aren't a sore spot.
August 20th, 2016 at 1:55 AM ^
Can't wait for that nds Iowa game! Should be a real barn burner?!?!
August 20th, 2016 at 5:45 AM ^
I might be misreading your tone here, but I think that game will be very compelling, and I fully expect Iowa to have its hands full that day. An upset would not shock me in that game.
August 20th, 2016 at 2:40 AM ^
Arkansas/TCU will be played outside of time.
August 20th, 2016 at 3:11 AM ^
Oklahoma has to play both Ohio State and Houston. Tough non-conference schedule for them.
August 20th, 2016 at 4:48 AM ^
Because of my hatred for all things SEC, my dream result list for the 1st week would have the following: Bama loses to USC, LSU loses to Wisky, Auburn loses to Clem, TAMU loses to UCLA, Ole Miss loses to FSU. Out of those only 2 seem unlikely. Then Michigan comes out of the gate clobbering people, OSU loses to Oklahoma and ND slams MSU. I'm really not one of these people who want our opponents to go undefeated save for our matchup. If Michigan is rolling we will make the playoff regardless if the B1G has a down year. Screw our rivals and screw the SEC. (Drops mic)

word. hang 50 on em all, hope their opponents do too.
August 20th, 2016 at 8:43 AM ^
I don't know about the rest of you, but I want to see MSU crush Notre Dame. We can take care of Sparty ourselves, later in the season. I think they are highly overrated this year.
August 20th, 2016 at 9:29 AM ^
Sparty got a big break overnight, as NDs starting safety and 4 other players (no idea if they're contributors) were arrested on weapons and marijuana charges
August 20th, 2016 at 3:00 PM ^
Lots of people here would rather see MSU (or OSU) lose than see Michigan win. I'm hoping they regain their senses after Michigan wins a few in a row in those series. This place is more fun when we don't have so many crazy people posting.
August 20th, 2016 at 5:50 AM ^
The first weekend has to be the best ever with so many great matchups. I'm looking forward to all of the big games but the ones that are getting my attention most are Bama/USC, Ole Miss/FSU, and ND/Texas. Really curious to see how Texas looks after finishing strong last year. I'm sure most of us will be pulling hard for the Horns in week one.
August 20th, 2016 at 3:02 PM ^
Yes, I think the thinking M fan wants ND to lose to both Texas and MSU. Get them into the rear view mirror early. They can win all they want afte that.
August 20th, 2016 at 6:49 AM ^
You have Iowa St v TCU but not El Assico? For shame.

Most notably missing from your list is the Abilene Christian Wildcats visiting the mighty Air Force Falcons...

lol someone asked to see this list? More outsourcing Google searches, I see. OP, you are quite generous.

and Matt Sarz....this guy predicts the TV times of games very well
August 20th, 2016 at 8:24 AM ^
I've been on the board plenty, but this week I finished up the biggest, nastiest project of the year at work, so I haven't felt like I can afford to pay very much attention. Now that it's done, I'm so ridorkulously pumped for football I may just pee myself. We get to see real LIVE college football in 6 (SIX!) days.

Time to relax and get ready to enjoy the season!

Amen brother. Sleep is more restful, food tastes better, beer is smoother, I get to see my wife and kids again, football is coming...I could cry I'm so happy.
August 20th, 2016 at 8:39 AM ^
Don't forget Kansas State vs Stanford on Friday 9/2. Not a great lineup on Thursday 9/1, probably the worst in years. Will most likely go with Oregon State vs Minnesota

That was a bit of an odd choice for inclusion
August 20th, 2016 at 9:30 AM ^
Too many neutral site games. It puts a damper on the game IMO. I'd much rather see LSU have to travel to Camp Randall and Ole Miss play at FSU, etc.
August 20th, 2016 at 10:22 AM ^
That atmosphere at neutral site games is terrible and sterile. I would much, much rather see Michigan play a one-off in the Swamp rather than a one-off in Jerry world if I had the choice
