actually bredeson did ok there, hes obviously got room to improve but that rep looked solid.  so im guessing youre commenting poor #74 simply bc hes repping vs gary whos just unique.

bredeson will play this year - his mental progress and acclimation to college game and overall consistency in practice will determine where and how much but hes talented enough to push some of the returning OL (especially if they dont improve).

kids gonna be a player, maybe even this year - but obviously gary already is.  the OL will have their hands full vs this DL in practice every day but theyll be better for it

The amount of distance he covers and the speed he reaches in 3 steps is outrageous. Bredeson does well to absorb his initial impact, but has no answer for the swim move (which probably could have been more crisp).

at the 6 second mark Bredenson took an illegal shot to the face!  While his head snapped backwards his body maintained balance.  Make no mistake from my comments.  I feel in my knower that Gary is going to someday be at the level of Usain Bolt dominance (Gatlin and the field did every thing they had in their power, Bolt just has several other gears above)!  In this case Bredenson did his job while being fouled.  So the swim move after that is moot.

When he's in his stance, the little bounce forward onto his hands, then the whistle blows, and he turns it off.. Hell, I think when he turns around to get back into position at the end of the play, he's faster than most d-linemen. :)

Also agree that Bredeson did well to take the huge punch to the head and the super fast outside move, and stay with it.

I would also like to point out - The "quarterback" kid did a good job to not turn and run, screaming, out of the building. :)

And the improvements he's made in the weight room in 2 months have my jaw dropped.  If this kid can develop just one move he can hang his hand on outside of brute force and quickness and he can be a top overall pick.  BIG Beware.
