OT: Copa America Centenario - USA vs. Colombia 8:30pm CDT, FS1

Submitted by Wolverine In Iowa on

And here come the lads!  USA (ranked 31st in the FIFA rankings) versus a strong Colombia team (ranked third) in the opening match of the Copa America.  The game is at the 49ers' stadium in Santa Clara, California.  I don't think the line-up is out yet, but I see (on Bigsoccer.com):

G - Guzan

D - Johnson, Cameron, Brooks, Yedlin

M - Bradley, Jones, Bedoya

A - Wood, Dempsey, Zardes

GO USA!!

So here come arguably our best two players with 25 minutes left to play. Maybe JK was waiting for Low to get back to him and tell him if they were the right subs.

and deuce failed to even knock it down every time, much less control turn and shoot. deuce is no jozy. plus he's lazy. and he wastes time jawing at the ref. done with deuce.

Bradley has been garbage for 5 years. JK will be let go right after our group stage exit in Russia. Hopefully we can get the psychotic Mexico dude as out next manager.

I don't want a new manager getting in right before the World Cup. We are invested in JK ideas at this point. I like how he is trying to change or structure and landscape of American soccer. I will give him the World Cup to see if it paid off. It can't get much worse.

There's an enormous gap in technical ability, especially first touch, between the two sides. It's about the gap you'd expect between Real/Milan/Juventus on the one hand and mostly MLS on the other.

Maybe it's a testimony to how far we've still got to go in this country that so many people here can't even see the difference.
