OT: Draymond Green Morticias the Adams Family
According to Mike & Mike on ESPN, the story of the morning is Draymond Green's kick to Steven Adams' nuts last night. (How can that not be the story of pontificators looking to fill air time?)

Apparently, Green had already kicked Adams' ding-a-ling once before in this series. (Oops, I did it again?) That kicking motion last night sure looks unnatural to me. Obviously, I'm not in Draymond's head and can't tell if he was going for the nuts, but it looks to me like he was intentionally trying to kick Adams.
With OKC starting to play like a team with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook on it and the Warriors down 2-1, a suspension could really put Golden State back up against the wall. It would be a shame for Stephen Curry to lose out like this, but IMO Draymond Green pulled a really boneheaded move. (The Ricochet Dong Punch? Figurative for Literal?)
Should Draymond be suspended for a game? (And feel free to caption the incident.)
Kicking someone in the nuts I guess must be the next level in how staee people vent their frustration after burning of the couches level. He still hasn't advanced to shooting oneself in the leg while clubbing level, but give him time.

In 32 minutes last night, our pal Draymond was 1 for 9, 6 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 turnovers, posting a fairly amazing +/- of -43.
The Sports Illustrated cover jinx strikes again!!
I don't know how +/- is calculated, but I did see on ESPN this morning while working out that Green's -43 is the lowest in the playoffs since 1997 (good year, that).
...is that it's the first year they started keeping track of the stat. So his -43 was the worst on record ever for any playoff game.

You really should be familiar with the facts before you shoot off your yap... That said, he should be suspended.

People are scared of me!

I knew about the Michigan shirt thing, but he actually memorized every player taken ahead of him? Talk about a massive chip on his shoulder.
Draymond is a fucking scumbag, so that that kicking motion looked very natural to me. He is the type of dirt bag who would do that.
...would never play on a .500-ish team. Winning glosses over all the ancillary bullshit he brings to the table.
like he was hitting what he was aiming for.
If he was falling backward and lifted a leg to catch his balance, it would be one thing. But, he leaned into it to give it extra force.
Sparty through and through. Izzo will call the league and beg for forgiveness.

Well it all depends on which matchup the NBA head office likes more in the Finals. I think they'd like it to be Curry v Lebron this year, so they'll officiate accordingly, per usual, unless the Stern years are really behind us..
For me, that was a turning point in how I view GS. Until now I had enjoyed watching them play and rooted them on. Now, I'm all in on the Thunder and hope they destroy the Warriors in this series.
I didn't see the 6'11" guy in front of me...
Suspend his ass. And kick him out of the league while we're at it. Make an example of him.
You know, I used to have a LITTLE bit of respekt for Draymond when he was at MSU, he played hard and played the right way.
It seems his head has goten too big. Did anyone see that he has memorized and told the media every player drafted in front of him? I get that that can be a motivating factor, but it felt like he was telling everyone that they were idiots. His Michigan t-shirt rant, his dirty play, and his weird demeanor in press confrences just screams spoiled brat.
I really wish he would have tried that against a team like the Bad Boys. You know how to identify a bully? They cry and play dirty when they have met their match.
I hope some little kids in Saginaw call him out on playing like a punk next time he goes back to visit them.
Well at least it was a litttle more subtle than the French point guard....

a legit attempt to get the "ball(s)" so it's a reach in foul at best!

Are all French athletes gutless little bitches?
I think this board would be better off if it did not give any attention to MSU unless it is Michigan beating them in a game. Discussing MSU on here is like dumping a pile of dung on your dinner table before you are about to sit down to eat a nice meal.
go a long ways toward preventing the 73-9 regular season Warriors from capping their magical regular season with an NBA title.
And it involves a former MSU player. Outside of the Michigan-MSU bubble, I doubt many view this as an MSU topic.
This is a testicles issue, and many of us have testicles. If there's one issue that is unifying in America, it's that getting kicked in the nuts is terrible and needs to be punished.
on crunched berries?
How about you get an entire week under your belt champ before giving advice on what topics are board worthy?
lol I hadn't noticed. Surely he must be someone who just came back from a ban, right?
But really, what's board worthy about the NBA Western Conference Finals?
Probably TheGhostOfYost's 74th comeback attempt.
to the interwebs thing.
Just when I was starting to appreciate his game, Draymond Green goes full heel. Pretty low blow.
Interesting nugget on Green's game from last night:
Draymond Green's career-worst -43 is worst plus/minus by any player in playoff game since at least 1997. His previous low for any game: -20
— Ben Golliver (@BenGolliver) May 23, 2016
The worst playoff game in history since they started tracking plus/minus 20 years ago. Not a good night for him.
Klay Thompson was -41 in only 24 minutes. And he scored 18 points! That is pretty hard to do.
As for Green, he was 1-9 from the field with 6 points, 4 rebounds, a team-leading 4 TOs, and a flagrant-1 for kicking a guy in the nuts. I don't think the stat is all that misleading in this case.
