(Dylan) Kekoa Crawford to wear the #1 jersey, Rashan Gary #3

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Elysee Mbem-Bosse tweeted a video of the Schembechler Hall lockers just a few minutes ago.

It appears Kekoa Crawford will be the first freshman WR to wear #1 since David Terrell in 1998.

Rashan Gary wearing #3 is also confirmed

I think I remember this being a recruiting tool used by the coaches. They said you can have the #1 or #2, but they promised it to a bunch of players and they all committed. Then, they said that it would be a competition to see who earned the right to wear the numbers. Don't have the links that stated this anymore, but I do remember hearing rumblings of this in late January.

I'm astonished that WD felt the need to log in under his 8 separate identities and upvote his innocuous post 8 times. /s

But seriously, check his posts and see how many upvotes he gets. It's way more than the random MGoUser gets for innocuous posts. He's either upvoting himself multiple times, and/or he's benefitting from a segment of the user base feeling sorry for him getting attacked all the time and upvoting him. It's worth noting that an upvote is worth 2 points while a downvote is worth only 1. His strategy of inflaming TIMMAAYY and the like and getting a few negs while simultaneously getting compensatory upvotes is brilliant, if all you care about are MGoPoints.

If these things mattered, I might actually give a shit.

EDIT: WD gets 11 votes for making basically the same comment that Bursley did, who has 2 upvotes. Something is fishy in Denmark.

Might have something to do with the fact that he's one of the top posters on this board (if not the top) so his comments stand out and are read more frequently than others (and also elicit deeper reactions both positive and negative). If Rashan Gary was on the board and posted something very similar to what WD just said, he would have even more upvotes due to famousness. Just how things go man.

And I've seen the arguments, discussed it with others on this blog, but the fact still remains that I see (and it isn't about the points) folks going out of their way to downvote stuff simply because he posts it.

I'd hope that he reads some of the criticism and adjusts accordingly because none of us are perfect.  But I still contend that some could benefit by something else to hate on instead of one of the, arguably, biggest Michigan fans on this blog.

WD provides significant contribution to this board. It would not be a bad idea that if people are exposed messing around with multiple accounts to be sent to Bolivia for a period to protect the integrity of the board. I am not double u d.

If only he were in fact Voltron, a significant portion of this blog's readership would fan out, as my wife likes to say, and demand that he should stay. As it was, Voltron - who has also masqueraded as Spock and a few other fictional characters - is just your normal user who has a history wit hthe blog, a history which is spotty at best. I believe the person who pointed out the connection between Voltron and UM Fan From Sydney is correct myself (our friend down under, who doesn't really seem like he is from down under, will deny it of course), although that the most recent account has managed to stay mostly within the lines is rather remarkable.

I give him an upvote on any regular post that is downvoated. I figure if he earns more points for the simple fact someone is downvoting him, maybe that will give the seriel downvoters less incentive to do so.

I'm even more astonished that Braylon isn't whining about an "unproven player" getting #1.  My guess: Braylon realizes that Harbaugh trumps any of his "reasons" for wanting to decide who gets #1.

Couldn't agree more, GoWings2008. It's out of control. And then you have the people who seem to exist just to troll WD, while adding no real other commentary or contribution to the site. It's become quite annoying.

when will you be following Kekoa Crawford's lead and reintroducing yourself as Nike Devotee (ND)? Are you waiting for the final seconds of the Adidas contract to expire before your big announcement?
