Build a Pacific Islander Pipeline!  Build it now!

And by being the first program to set up satellite camps in American Samoa, Samoa, and Hawaii, this is exacly what will happen.

Whatever arbitrary rules the NCAA adopts related to satellite camps in future years, being the first program to make it easy for Islanders to be noticed and recruited will be remembered for a long time.  Having spent some years in the Pacific Islands, I learned these people know something about loyalty

Mix these satellite camps with a measure of Tony Tuioti, and a dash of Sione Houma, and Harbaugh's got a recipe for making Michigan a Pacific Islander football factory.

It's going to be amazing.

And then hire his coach in order to secure his commitment. Why does Harbaugh insist on being so obnoxious in going about doing his job ? First going way overboard with these camps, then hiring kids family members and coaches in order to get commits, and the list goes on. It's as tho he goes out of his way to bend the rules as much as possible just to poke others in the eye. It's a terrible example to set, especially because in the end he hasn't won anything of note. I guess this is hat Michigan is now. It's a shame, it used to be a very respected loser, now it's a loser with no respect.

Don't be too hard on the guy. Football history just started in the last 10 years for him.

PS - I have already seen some grumbling over at RCMB about MSU currently doing zero camps outside of SMSB since their national cache could justify camps in TX and FL. Of course this is the same group that revels in MD as a true disciplinarian while infractions go unpunished in AA.....

It depends on the wording of the satellite ban. NCAA has no legal jurisdiction over areas solely part of the integral area of the United States, so the fact that it's a territory or country isn't important. If the wording said satellite camps couldn't be held in states with D1 teams, then no. If it said no satellite camps whatsoever, this would still be an infraction.

Could add a name to this interesting list of men to come to Michigan from US territories should we offer and sign a kid from AS.

It's been a very long time.

You bring up an interesting point. Does the NCAA have rules that say student-athletes must be human? If not, maybe we could keep the SC lore out of it and go for a rhino or elephant defensive tackle. Cheetah defensive back?

And if you're allowing SC fantasies and you don't have a dark archon mind controlling the opposing players, you're wasting an opportunity.

My guess is they'll fly to Australia then to Somoa then Hawaii.  Look for an announcement for a California camp next.

That is one HELL of road trip.  Hope the coaches know how to sleep on planes.

I've made that trip a few times.  There is simply no way to kill 21 hrs in the air through sleep.  So you hope the entertainment system (yours or the planes) is packed with good movies.  Cuz yer gonna need'em...

Once on the ground, Aussie architecture, food, and beer is all British based.  But the road design and entertainment (TV/radio) is all American based.  But don't tell them that.  Aussie's will get pissed at you if you tell them their trying to be like Americans...

And they don't have deer roadkill.  They have kangaroo roadkill.  Dead serious.  Roo'kill is a big problem - bigger than deer here.

Going to Australia is definitely a "bucket list" destination for me but my work doesnt allow more than one week off at a time and no way am I going to spend two days flying to have five days of sightseeing.  My company has a pretty robust sales partner in Australia so I've thought about visiting them several times but cant justify the travel time (or expense) in my head.

Looks like that trip will have to happen sometime after I'm mGoRetired.

Camp in Samoa is fantastic. I just hope Harbaugh's coaching staff can keep up with the Jackhammer. The dude just out works everyone else and his team his learning the same lesson. Put all the work in and prepare, and good things will blossom from it. He's gonna find some gems on the international summer swarm tour of 2016. Go Blue!!
