OT- John Wall dance
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qo0D-Edxuq0
I don't think this has been posted here before but I'm assuming some of you have already seen it. Regardless, I thought I'd share this anyway. This dance is pure awesome, and I cannot stop watching. Dude is a stud.
Also, he has said many times he got the dance from some rapper believe. Still, it is the John Wall dance in my mind.

i kind of think the dance is dumb (or at least it's dumb that it's some kind of sensation now)
February 14th, 2010 at 9:07 PM ^
But Devan Downey is better.

I do the Wall dance awesomely. Why? Because it looks awesome when you have huge guns.
February 14th, 2010 at 9:22 PM ^
on the KY side of Cincinnati and a UK bball fan (Michigan alum, though so obvious loyalty there).
Wall is insane. Pretty sure Calipari is doing something illegal, but in Kentucky, UK basketball is all that matters. If some/any of those guys come back next year, they'll be nasty again.

While I think the dance is a little ridiculous, if this was a Michigan player I would love it. I'm sure Demar will come up with something crazy next season in the no fly zone.
I realize this wasn't an intro for an actual regular season game, but could you imagine Crisler Arena doing something like this? Their facilities are in another league compared to ours. Let's hope all the desperately needed renovations to Crisler actually come to fruition.
I like how Calipari has floated his name out for the New Jersey Nets job so quickly after joining Kentucky. He has a history of leaving just before the NCAA comes down on his teams. John Wall is amazing, but I agree with "pz," something sketchy is bound to be going on.

Huh? I was waiting for him to dance but nothing ever happened. Plus, as Brian has said, calling a guy a stud is weird.
February 14th, 2010 at 10:34 PM ^
I rarely give out the stud label to people, but Wall is deserving of it. He can flat out ball, and I will forever love this dance.
February 14th, 2010 at 11:20 PM ^
Calling a guy a stud is pretty much saying that you are gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I thought you should know. Plus I watched it again and don't see this "dance" that you're referring to.
February 14th, 2010 at 11:34 PM ^
You got me, because I said he's a stud, I'm gay.
February 15th, 2010 at 12:16 AM ^
Look at your fucking avatar, idiot.
February 15th, 2010 at 10:17 AM ^
Your point? If you knew the movie whatsoever you would know that in that particular scene Patrick Bateman is giving it to a girl and the other girl is "helping out". Heterosexual sex is gay? A three some to boot?
February 15th, 2010 at 8:08 AM ^
Which means that 12,836 sports journalists across the country, including every ESPN and FOX sports reporter, 90% of all NFL players, holder of every WBA/WBC title belt, and 75% of all MMA fighters are gay, since calling a great athlete a "stud" has been mainstream language for at least 30 years. But go ahead, if you're so nervous in your sexuality that you need to declare that using that word is gay, have at it, big guy.
February 15th, 2010 at 10:19 AM ^
Basically. I guess we're a nation of peter puffers. I don't have a problem with that but trying to cover it up only makes things worse. Futhermore, I guess your message was that if everyone is doing/saying something then it's ok. That could quite possibly be the stupidest thing I have ever heard.
February 15th, 2010 at 1:11 PM ^
I agree with you that calling football players "stud" is wierd. i don't know how that caught on. But your avatar is of a guy with his shirt off. Who cares what he's doing in that scene, your picture only shows the guy.
February 14th, 2010 at 11:09 PM ^
I might be off base on this but I think I read something that the dance originated with someone from Louisville... so when he did it, it was kind of a burn towards the cards.
still pretty awesome though.
February 14th, 2010 at 11:23 PM ^
Ok, if this is the John Wall dance then it is pretty cool but the link you provided doesn't really show him do anything except that flex movement.
February 15th, 2010 at 10:23 AM ^
The "flex movement" is the dance. Wow.
February 15th, 2010 at 10:33 AM ^
Well if you take out the crypt walk looking thing and just leave the flex stuff then it's stupid. When did dancing constitute all upper body? I guess you don't understand the concept of what dancing really is. I guess someone could win a dance competition only user their upper body. Gotcha
February 15th, 2010 at 7:20 PM ^
Hahahaha crypt walk. I'm guessing you meant crip walk? Funny you tried to tell someone they didn't know about dances afterwards.
February 15th, 2010 at 7:26 PM ^
Dude, you are so smart.
http://www.google.com/search?q=crypt+walk&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=or…
Looks like it can be called either. WTG
February 15th, 2010 at 7:36 PM ^
it originated from the gang "the crips" idiot
February 14th, 2010 at 11:49 PM ^
John Wall did an interview on ESPN where he said he adapted the move from a Louisville rapper. The origin of the dance move is from Kenzo's "Do the shizz." Copied here for your viewing pleasure. They do the move a few times in the video, but it is clearest around 3:02
February 14th, 2010 at 11:50 PM ^
this dance was nothing. Or at least the clip provided was nothing. I am baffled. He moved his fist? I don't know what I am looking for...
February 15th, 2010 at 12:06 AM ^
I just find it pretty funny because of how big of a phenomenon it is for Kentucky fans. There's a facebook page for it that has like 50,000 members.
February 15th, 2010 at 12:04 AM ^
That dude is Fred Fucking Astaire.
February 15th, 2010 at 8:56 AM ^
If you call a gentleman a stud, then you're gay.
What if you call him a studbolt?
For context: No, I didn't make this up
February 15th, 2010 at 9:44 AM ^
Yeah, I can't really figure out what kind of dance he's doing here....not a good clip.
He is weak as fuck compared to Demar Dorsey in the dancing department.
February 16th, 2010 at 12:39 PM ^
There's a segment on the dance on Sportscenter right now. Wall even mentions that he's watched that hunting video up there!
