Was at the game. So amazing. Memories are great but I am tired of living in the past. Need to beat Staee this year and shut those bastards up.

Agreed. I used to love watching this game when Hoke was coach. Now, I watch it and think of all the devastation afterward. It's like a "man we are unbelievably fortunate to have Harbaugh right now" reaction.

Why no thread for the Michigan @ NWestern game that was just on?

I kid.

BTN sucks...they show this and UTLII all the fucking time. Meanwhile, I had a heart attack 2-3 times this year as we barely won games.  Show @Minnesota or @Indiana...show that awesome BYU game from last year or the Citrus Bowl game.

The IU game that needed 63 points...anything. It's always UTL 1 and 2.

...and yet, I'll still watch this and quit my bitching.

There content has gotten so bad over the past 2-3 years. It used to be pretty cutting edge, the SEC Network is WAAAY better now. I just don't understand why they don't copy some of the same things.

And like I said above, show different old games.

If I could cancel BTN without losing ESPNEWS (I like Russillo & Kannel), I would. It's only good when you need a live Michigan game.

The Journey was good when it came out, but they never built off it. The radio show blows. They don't have much in the way of live updates like a College Football Live type show. Or even a SportsCenter type show.

They need to add shows like ESPN's ATH, PTI and HQ. Maybe even a SportsNation (even though I hate that show).

Bring back the coaches office show, where they did the interviews.

They had those awesome series' highlighting old teams like the '97 team as well as other B1G greats, they had the B1G Elite for great players. THAT is when BTN was worth watching.

They even had their own 30 for 30 stuff like Tiebreakers and other documentaries. Those may have been the best part.

I don't get why they went away from fresh content like that...those were all good.

Very well said. It's not similar to ESPN at all anymore. No discussion shows. Just broadcasting obscure sports (which I appreciate when M is playing). They've certainly gotten away from their initial model, not sure why.

This is just a guess but it's probably easier for them to air a nonconference game than one that a B1G fanbase is going to hate. Not that they'll never show those games, but that's likely a factor.

For example, when Harbaugh was hired, they showed the '86 ND game right around the hiring announcement, not the OSU game, even though that one was much more famous because of the guarantee. As a matter of fact, the ND game that year was miserable. Still have no idea how we won.

That game... man. I was in the student section for it.

It gives me goosebumps, makes me happy, and makes me a little sad all at the same time.

I was there as I am sure many MGoBloggers were, and I didn't get home until about 2:30 AM, as I recall. Hard to believe we're going on five years ago with that game actually, but the laugh highlight for me.....ah, Tommy Rees, occasionally well-meaning Tommy Rees....

I have ever attended in person, sports or otherwise. No one wanted to leave afterwards. We hugged strangers. We had subs. It was crazy.

I've kept that game on DVR simply because I could.  I love watching it because it was a great game.  But I hate watching it because it was the last game I watched with my dad before he died.  He was ecstatic when Harbaugh was hired, but never got to see him coach a game (which is what bothers me most about his death).  Those last few minutes of the game, we were so loud that we woke up the 7 month old.  Wife wasn't happy - not much of a sports fan, but she got over it!

last night just as ND was kicking off for the final 30 seconds. Gallon's cloaking device would soon be deployed. I love how the announcers were talking about how Robinson should run to the center of the field to set up the game tying field goal. Then Musburger says, "He's going to throw!"
