Comcast Watchathon Week

Submitted by HelloHeisman91 on

I've made this post the past few years and it has seemed to go over well.  If you are a Comcast customer you can access all the programming that is available on HBO, Showtime etc..... for free this week On-Demand.  Happy viewing!

I started watching the big ten network recently because I heard they had "hot Big ten action". Let me tell you, it's not what it sounds like.

They aren't offering Showtime. I have HBO and there's nothing to watch on Starz. I caught The Knick on the last free week, but if you haven't watched that on Cinemax, do so.

Waiting for the Rutgers/EMU real sports to drop on HBO. Thanks for the heads up.

Maybe for once I can pick a show and have control of the remote....

More households are cutting wired internet altogether because they have unlimited mobile data plans. Use internet for simple tasks like e-mail and bill pay and your phone to stream videos and movies... a more common setup than you might imagine.

Cord cutting/shaving whatever you call it, it's a real phenomenon and will only accelerate with Sling TV, Playstation Vue, and other no-contract services.

Nah, I've tried some of them and they sucked compared to my cable/satellite service. I just signed up for the ATT bundle and got phone, cable and internet for $89 guaranteed for two years. Before that I had the Comcast triple play and it was just as cheap. I have never paid more than $100 for my bundle services in the last decade. As soon as they try to raise my price, I switch service and move on.

We've been starting in on "Black Sails" here - so far, so good. I was always up for an interesting pirate-themed period piece though, given most of my ancestors from that period were in that business, some of it government-sanctioned privateering even.

We're open to some suggestions for others, of course. Really liking the selection on this Watchathon.

Finally getting the chance to catch up on The Walking Dead. I missed the midseason finale and was too late getting to it On Demand. It got put back up for this Watchathon.

When exactly does this run until? I watched the first few episodes of Billions on Showtime with friends but I don't get Showtime and would love to watch it this week. This may actually be the first time I'm pleased with Comcast.
