Biggest Disappointment: Grady, Boren (that fucker), with Boubacar taking the crown.

Henson for most disappointing. First the broken leg caused him to miss those 3 games, and then leaving early when everyone thought he was ready to have a big season.

I'd imagine Long could be inserted for Braylon. I believe I read he allowed only one his sack senior season and that was to all everything Gholston. Braylon had some huge drops.

Hood was at least an excellent gunner on special teams. We didn't even get that out of Baraka, so he's my choice for biggest disappointment.

As for our best player, I'd go with Graham. He played at an All-American level on defenses that were otherwise seriously lacking. Imagine him on one of our mid-'90s defenses.

I think Mike Hart is the best player of the decade, not just for his ability on the field, but for all of his leadership qualities.

As far as Biggest Disappointment, I really think Drew Henson fits the bill. As aquaman2342 stated, that team was primed to win a NC and the fucking Yankees had to come calling. I hate the Yankees.

I'm not sure about Mike Hart's leadership. His teams were 0-4 against OSU and 1-3 in bowl games. He was a senior starter on a team that lost to Appalachian State (first game and loss against a D1AA team) and lost to Oregon in what might have been the largest margin of defeat in Big House history.

Certainly not all of those things were his fault and his performance on the field spoke for itself but I'm not sure that we saw any great leadership during those years.

I put those losses a lot more on English and Carr. Hart was the only player out there in those games who looked like he gave a shit. He almost singlehandedly carried the team the first four games of '07. Henne was a big factor in the App St. loss too. He sucked in that game big time.

The 2001 team was primed to win the national title had Henson stayed? We suffered massive losses on offense - basically the whole OL, Thomas, Terrell and I think our TE. Henson might have been good enough to compensate but I don't think our offense would have been as productive, even with him as a senior, as it was in 2000.

We lost much of the OL, but Tony Pape and (Super Bowl Champ) Jonathan Goodwin were starters. Also, Terrell left as a junior, I remember hearing he may have stayed had Henson returned as well (I could be mistaken). Both Walker and Terrell on the outside catching passes from Henson (all seniors) certainly wouldn't have been a bad offense

Terrell went pro in January. It couldn't have had anything to do with Henson because at that time he announced he was staying. It was in March that Henson left to play baseball.

Pape was a first-year starter in '01 and really struggled. It was a bad line. Navarre took a ton of flack (some justified) but he had very little protection.

If you are talking best than I think you go with Edwards. If you want "got the most out of himself" than it is a easy win for Hart.

Biggest disappointment was Grady but I would also put Minor on the list because he disappointed me more than anyone the last two years since we found out he was talented and also made out of glass.

Raback Omaba

Brandon performed well when he was healthy, which was rare. I found myself very impressed with his running style everytime I watched him at full strength (ie. PSU 2008.)

He just couldn't stay healthy....I think he could've been a great, great RB.

So I nominate him as biggest dissapointment...not because he dissapointed us, but because I was dissapointed that I didn't get to see more of him at Michigan. Especially in 2009, where I thought he'd have a banner year and take the pressure off of our then freshman QB.

EDIT: DISAPOINTED....but I'm not gonna change it because I deserve the ridicule I am a dumbass

If we are talking about who had the best career in the 2000's than I would say Woodley. If we are talking who had the best season in the 2000's, I would have to go with Braylon in 2004.
My biggest disappointment would be Tyler Ecker for not tossing the ball in two different losses in 05' (Minnesota & Alamo Bowl).I am also disappointed with the OP for spelling biggest with three g's, as well as Raback Omaba for incorrectly correcting himself.

If you watch the video, Breaston is practically next to him for the first ten yards when Ecker breaks free. At about 34 seconds, it looks like Breaston is definitely communicating something to him. Breaston slows down, I'm assuming to get in position for the lateral he expects to be coming. Then Ecker runs by an offensive lineman. Then, for reasons only god and Tyler Ecker know, he just kinda meanders out of bounds and ends what would have been arguably the greatest play in football history. After further review, I change my vote for biggest disappointment from Henson to Ecker. Unbelievable.

I think this play may have been the maddest I ever was over one play as a UM fan. Ofcourse, the fact that the officials let Nebraska's entire team run all over the field without a flag helped to well my anger. It also helped that this was the absolute worst officiated game I can ever remember. The only play that made me as mad, was MSU 2001. PITCH THE DAMN BALL ECKER!!

When I consider the surrounding circumstances (coaching and culture change, generally weak supporting cast, civil war among the fans), I'd vote for Brandon Graham as best player. He gave his best in sometimes uninspiring circumstances and, while often the focus of the opposing team, still managed to put up great numbers. Great attitude, too...

On the other side? Sorry, Grady, but a 5-star Rivals ranking comes with high expectations. I was glad to see him recover from that epic DUI and contribute this past season. But, I had higher hopes for him (based mostly on ranking, of course, which may not be reasonable).

Best: Mike Hart.

Biggest Disappointment: Shawn Crable.

Honestly, he was on the end of more "Goddamnit" plays during his time at Michigan than any other player. While I admit that Grady was a disappointment, he just didn't live up to everything that he could have been (5* on potential) - whereas Crable continuously screwed up and left his mark on some memorable games and underperformed. #2 DE in the country coming out of high school with offers from USC, OSU, the U, and Pitt.

I feel bad for Crable. Sure, he was flagged for the late hit on Troy Smith in 06', but the call was complete horseshit. He did block the wrong player on the last play of "the horror", which directly led to the FG block. On the other hand, dude made a serious number of plays on a below average defense in 07'.
