Football Nike/Jumpman jersey spotted? (PHOTO)

Look at the jersey on the model in the background.

Look at the font of the numbers.

A closer look-

The model has Nike shoes on, has a logo on the chest instead of the collar (perhaps the brand logo) and has the traditional Nike plastic-looking color on the collar.

I'm not too happy with the font change of the numbers. They've been the same forever.

If they change the wordmark-

I can't figure out why they'd pick #23!!!???!????! I mean what Michigan player wore #23 that was really good besides Chris Perry? I mean I can't get why JORDAN people would print the demo Michigan jersey with # 23 on it. This is stupid. I want Reebok or Bauer I can't stand Nike don't they know we have traditions.

Are we expecting the home jerseys to be much different aside from logo, better colors, and/or shoes? I'm expecting to get a very high quality by-the-books traditional home look with cool shoes... and then they can mess around with the away/alternate.

"Better colors"

I am a big, big hater of the newer, Iowa color of maize. But it's not the doing of Adidas. Michigan people clearly stated that they were the ones moving the change (I think DB was quoted on this, I don't recall). They said it would take a couple of years and it did, and now the maize is this new color that I don't like. But it was Michigan's doing all the way.

Best sign of this is that the helmet color changed before the football uniforms did; those followed a year later.

Nike will, as much as they are able, produce uniforms in the same color.

*Man I hope that font isn't permanent.

The staff has a closet they keep prototypes/unreleased gear in to show recruits when they visit. They have had Jordan gear for a little while now. Not sure if the numbers are a permanent change, but I am sure that is a Jordan jersey they are showing visitors.

Good thing nothing crazy was added, I guess. If the biggest design change is a slight font switch-up I'm cool.

Yeah like UMChick77 said, no one will become a Jumpman school before us. Also Jordan sponsors 5 basketball teams and 1 football team. It's not exactly a ship just anyone can jump on board of. Jordan is pretty calculated with his brand, and the exclusivity of the winningest program being the only school they sponsor is pretty nice (for both parties).

just throw a jump logo on either the 97 or 99 unis and we are good to go. Same with hoops, put jump man at the neckline of the 92-95 unis. Back to being the best uniforms in either sport, just that simple.
